5.0 out of 5 stars Cheap and cheap, but work. Just DO NOT CLIP YOUR SOCKS THAT WAY!
If you've been thinking about dabbling into the metro-man world of the amazing shirt stay but aren't quite ready to pony up $20 or $30 for something that seems a little too nerdy or old man-ish to quite be... "you", then this might be a good place to start. For $8.99 are you going to find better? Eh, maybe... but realistically... probably not. If you're ready to go all in with no regrets and no excuses... these aren't the ones for you - spend more money to get the sea-salt cured leather bonded elastics your hairy legs deserve. However, if you want to NOT have a BAD TIME with these, this is what you need to know:- clip to the middle of your sock, NOT THE TOP, otherwise it'll scratch your legs and drive you mad- you'll adjust these to different lengths - because your legs aren't exactly the same length, and other factors- for the second time: mind the SCRATCHY MELTED NYLON strip - either turn backwards, or clip low on your sockAlso, although these are plastic clips, as you can see, I wouldn't expect ultra-thin silky dress socks (y'know, the kind that rip at the toe when you first put them on and only last 3 washes) to hold up against these clips. I have no concerns about them with normal dress socks. Finally, despite what I show in the picture, yes, I do typically wear these on the INSIDE OF MY PANTS and with a BUTTON-UP SHIRT. I didn't want to take pictures of myself half-undressed in one of my fancy shirts because, well, it would just be too unfair to the actual leg models to practically put them out of a job with a free review. I care about the economy too much for that sort of thing. Especially in these trying times. You're welcome. Also, I’m 6’5”, so these deliver on “one size fits all”.
5.0 out of 5 stars Durable
It fits well for a 6’0 180 pound person, easy to work with and put on, stays clipped on and unnoticeable all day, keeps shirt straight and tucked all day long.
4.0 out of 5 stars Does the job
This is a classic item. It does the job. Great fit
5.0 out of 5 stars Very good quality
If you want to look your best, then you need to use shirt stays like these. I've worn this style in the military and now in the civilian world. Details make a difference - you will like these.
3.0 out of 5 stars Great for the first few months but...
Product was great when I first got it only wore it once a week for Sunday Mass, to keep my shirt tucked it. Worked amazing for like about, only problem was that I had shortened the buckle to fit but still was somehow a but large. Didn’t bother me much. However, after about 3 months the clip broke and wouldn’t clip to my shirt. I didn’t even wear these everyday and somehow it broke
5.0 out of 5 stars Vital to hold your shirt tucked!
There are other styles such as one the goes around your thigh, which I may try some say, but this is the style I've always used, and kept because they work. There certain events in the military, you will want to look SHARP- and keeping your shirt tucked and in line goes a long way to help. And if you're planning a night to a special event with that 'someone', they'll be proud to be next to the sharpest dresses man there! If you are sharply dressed, your IQ will instantly go up20 points, and other guests will be asking everything from how to maintain the inherent instability of a fisson reaction, to how to structure a proper haiku. These will help!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great help
I need some more practice on using them, but great help overall
1.0 out of 5 stars I'm 5'7" and the shortest adjustment on these does not work.
If you're taller than 5'7" then yeah these will probably be just fine for you but for me, even when adjusted to the shortest size, there is too much slack on them to wear comfortably.
when you want to look best, look after the details
These are great! I use them all the time when dancing as it keeps my shirt in place and I look as well-dressed at the end of the night as I did at the start. Very comfortable to wear.
A must have
Keeps shirt looking fitted and keeps socks up at the same time.
Strategic use is key
These work very well if placed properly. The key is to them more toward the back of the leg rather than the side. This will keep the metal portion from rubbing on your leg and irritating where it touches. The elasticity has somewhat weakened after 4 months of M-F use but they still have lots of life left.
Works as advertised
Works as expected, great for keeping shirts tucked it
Good, but failed on first wear
The product does it's job as intended, but the first time I wore them, the stitching holding one of the clasps on the strap failed. Pretty easy to fix, just frustrating.
