5.0 out of 5 stars well worth the money
I bought the 700 soundbar and subwoofer together and was skeptical about the rear speakers simply because of the price. After ADAPTiQ calibration upon set up its well worth the money. The sound is better that I expected. Would buy again, highly recommend.
5.0 out of 5 stars A must for a complete home cinema experience!
I recently bought the Bose 900 soundbar and 700 subwoofer. I am extremely happy with both of them but still felt that was an element of that full room sound experience missing. I was hesitant to buy these 700 surround speakers because of the price for such small speakers, as well as the reviews saying how quiet they are. Let me say right away that if you plan on using adaptiq for these, you are probably not going to like them because of how quiet they are. I personally don't use adaptiq at all on my system. I find that tuning it to my preferences is the best option to get what I want out of it. If you use adaptiq, these are going to be very quiet. An option to do is cover them with a rag while using adaptiq, thus quieting the pings from the tune and having them tune themselves louder. By not using adaptiq, these put out a TON more sound. They absolutely give me that full room sound cinema like experience that I want. Also, these are not for bass. These are for all of the clearer high end surrounding sounds that you aren't hearing with out them. The full music sound, the shoes on a floor, the explosions and bullets feeling like they are whizzing past you. I was completely hesitant on these but I am glad I decided to try them because they absolutely make a world of difference in your audio experience. HIGHLY recommend
5.0 out of 5 stars They are worth it!
Great speakers that deliver. They complete the Bose surround sound experience. I have it paired with a soundbar 700 and Bass module 700. Everyone that complains about the level of sound they output hasn’t experimented with their settings to get the best audio output. My only complaint is that they should have came with the optional table stands.
5.0 out of 5 stars A notable upgrade on the nearly invisible surround 300
These are expensive, but they are good. They are tiny; about the same size as a 250ml can of tonic water. And yet, they generate a convincing and loud sound that is much better dispersed than the nearly invisible surround 300s. There’s better integration with the Bose front speaker bar too, and no ‘point source’ for surround effects.Obviously these are not going to compete with a full size dedicated home cinema installation, but as a non-intrusive surround solution for your drawing room, these are discrete and very effective.
1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing Speakers, Underwhelming Support
I originally bought the Bose soundbar 900 and the bass module 700. To have a cinema-like experience, I purchased the surround speakers 700. Considering the money it costs, I was expecting something better than this. It's hard to hear them even when setting them at maximum from the Bose app. I have other brands surround speakers (Sony, Sonos), which are far from this. In all honesty, it's a waste of money. Don't buy them. Please check other comments; they all say the same.Lastly, after more than one year, the soundbar suddenly stopped working. Bose support said a power surge might be related. Yeah, of course, it must have been a mysterious power surge that only singled out the soundbar while sparing every other device in the house. Amazing! The soundbar no longer has a warranty, and Bose support in Latin America requests that it be fixed at the same price as a brand-new soundbar. Marvelous!
4.0 out of 5 stars Good but not great
After purchasing Bose Soundbar 900 and Bass Module 700, I was really impressed with how well they performed. As a result, I went ahead and completed the system by purchasing the Bose Surround Sound Speakers 700 and the Bose Omni Jewel Stands to go with them.Pros: The speaker is definitely made of pure quality.Nice & Sleek lookingSound Quality is niceEasy pair and set up through Bose app to the soundbarCatches all the background sounds from the movie and gamingCons:Speakers are smaller than the plug unit it comes with.Speakers are not very loud even as I have it at level 100.Pricey for speakers that are not very loud.Overall: Despite the fact they are not very loud, it is still noticeable and enjoyable and completes My Bose System. I am happy with it. I wish it wasn’t over $500 bit I have no regrets. They are still very nice speakers and I recommend them if you have the means.
5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome
Built and sound is awesome. What you would expect from Bose.
5.0 out of 5 stars Tiny Speakers with big sound
I set out to simplify my audio system and the messy wire situation, so I decided to go from an Onkyo AV receiver and Bose Accustimass system to a Bose 700 setup.First, I started with the Bose 700 Soundbar (which has a great sound) but it was missing the deep vibrating bass and the surround sound I was used to. So I decided to add the bose 700 bass first and it added a solid bass that you can feel ;-). I used that setup for a few months but was still missing real surround sound for TV, Music, and Movies. So I added the Bose Surround 700 Speakers. I am super happy with the sound and all that without messy cables and the complications of an additional receiver. The 700 speakers are tiny, much smaller then I expected them to be form the picture, but they do have great sound. I also got the speaker and stands in black and they look very elegant and have a nice contrast to the wall. The setup was too easy and took only minutes so I wondered if the speakers were really connected. Checking on the bose app and testing the sound confirmed that the setup worked. The complete Bose 700 sounds not only awesome but also looks great. I would definitely recommend it if you are OK with the price.
Wow! Sound!
Thought the Ultra Sound Bar and the P700 together were amazing .. but after adding the P700 to the system, the experience has been simply out of the world. Just love it.Wish assembly instructions were clear and would expect less of wires from BOSE!
Sonido Sorround Espectacular!
Small and Simply Amazing
I originally purchase the 700 soundbar and sub because of the ability to have rear speakers, something my Cinemate II system lacked. I did not purchase the rears at the same time and as I looked at some online reviews I became doubtful on the need and quality. Complicating the decision was whether to go with the 180-surround set or the full 360 Bose 700 set. Because of the extra money and peoples comments I was not going to go for the 700’s. But I decided to give them a try first to see, figuring I could always return if I did not like them.Well with the first night they were hooked up I knew I was keeping them, I can’t believe the other reviews and I have to question those people’s setup or expectations. You add the rear speakers to a system to help fill the room with sound and these little speakers do that completely. Now important to realize your sound output has to support 5.1 or you won’t hear any sound out of them. So, as I watch YouTube, I hear nothing out of them, which is expected. Then while some shows make use a little out of them like Suits, that shows creators have chosen not to really use 5,1 and to be honest it does not really need to. But that does not mean a drama could not do a better job. For example, Mindhunters uses 5.1 amazingly and I am hearing sounds I did not know existed. Prior to adding the rears, I heard good sound out of the sound bar, but after I would hear all the background noises. A lot of the show happens in jails and you hear the closing and opening of jail cells. In the background This is just lower level back ground noise, but completely adds the show. Now watch Star Wars or 6 Underground on Netflix and you will be blown away with the room filling sound between the soundbar, the sub and now the rear 700’s it just completes the entire setup.I had read the speakers were small, but not having seen them prior to my Bolo order I was surprised how small they actually were. But this is a complete plus, they hide nicely in the room, but the sound is amazingly strong. I did turn them up in the app to hear more, but that’s why the feature exists, some seem to say that as a downside. Remember your rear speakers do not produce all the sound and are meant only for specific ones that the show’s creators decide will add value to the show you are watching and in my mind these speakers knock it out of the park.I had intended to also pick up the 180 set to compare and maybe save some money. But in the end, I am too happy with the 700’s that I know longer intend to do the comparison and keep what I got. So, I cannot answer whether you could save some money and get the same out of the cheaper Bose speakers. But I can say you should not be disappointed with the 700’s and let’s be honest if you are looking to save money you don’t buy Bose. You buy Bose because you know you are getting superior sound and quality, but it is at a price. I also find that more expensive Bose systems do usually offer better sound then their cheaper cousins, but that’s just my opinion.
Awesome
