The media could not be loaded. I like the size of the double burner. It fits well on my counter top. It boils pretty good. Buyer BEWARE it is very HOT. The knob on the burner you use, and the side that the burner is being used is very very hot. If you’re boiling something I would not turn the knob without an oven mit. Good option for someone that does not have a working stove.

First the good.The price of course. Well built, self contained, and simple to clean. Works OK. Hopefully durable. We'll see. I'm 2 months in so far. Fits almost anywhere, and is very portable. Doesn't blow fuses.Okay. The bad.You have to realllly scrub it and you can't use brillo/steel wool so, plastic scrubbers only and the area just around the burners gets dirty with each use. Combined with the ineffectiveness of plastic scrubbers it's tough to keep spotless. I guess I could try a chemical cleaner, but I don't like using those. Within 2 weeks all of the logos and temperature/dial information was cleaned off.The plates either don't get hot enough or get too hot. You can't make pan popcorn for instance because it's not hot enough, and cooking anything even at what appears to be medium heat overdoes it (like eggs-in addition to taking until lunch to get breakfast cooked).The plates take a Very Long Time to heat up. I ditched my tea kettle and started using the microwave per cup because it took over 20 minutes for the water to boil. Everyone dreads making pasta because boiling a pan of water takes forever.As a disclaimer, I am coming from lifelong use of a gas stove to this, so I do realize it's probably not an entirely fair comparison. But had I known these things about it from the start, I feel certain I may have opted for a different system. It's a good little burner system, and gets the job done eventually, but you need to have lots of extra time for cooking and not mind that it takes twice as long to do everything, that you won't have a guide for the temperature, that your stove top won't always be spotlessly clean, or that some of your favorite foods can't be properly cooked on it.Fortunately, we use other appliances (microwave, instant/one pot, electric griddle, and 12 function convection oven) to offset this appliance's limitations. I definitely would not suggest it as your sole cooking appliance.

We needed an upgrade from our old hot plate and this one is awesome! Heats up fast, has bigger eyes than usual and a decently long cord! Doesn’t make any noises or move and is very stable, great quality for the price point!

Update 3/27/2022: Now it's dangerous. The thermostat knob occasionally doesn't work, and it fails CLOSED (meaning, it stays on 100% even when you set the knob to 2 out of 8). I thought my pancake burned prematurely, and when I took the pan (Teflon, which is dangerous when overheated above 400°F) off the burner, the cook plate was RED HOT. Why can't someone just make a good quality product anymore?Update 11/15/2019: The more I use this, the more concerned I get. First, it got so hot it melted the clear plastic button covering the little power bulb. I thought I'd just glue it back. But I noticed the entire casing gets REALLY HOT every time you use it. I measured 306° F (152° C) on the front face, and even 288° (142° C) on the silver knob you need to adjust the temperature! This is poor design. There should be some form of insulation between the heating element and the frame and knob of the hot plate. You can still adjust the temperature, you just don't want to grab and hold the knob.We've been very happy with this so far (as of 9/22/2019, we've had it about a month now). We use this at least 5 times a week instead of our gas stove so we can use our solar electricity instead of fossil fuel to steam eggs, make grilled cheese, saute or pan fry some dinner, etc. It's been very reliable so far. But there are a few things that we wish were improved (Manufacturer take note!). 1) There is an on/off knob on the left, and a temperature setting with an "off" position on the right. Why 2 "off" settings? Redundant. No need for left knob and it only causes confusion. 2) The "off" positions on EITHER knob don't even "click" into position, you just roll them to the end, and if your hand strikes the knob a little, it'll come back a bit from the off position. Make it CLICK off please!! 3) The left knob has an arrow on the top and if you rotate the knob so OFF is at the TOP, that knob is in the off position. The right knob has an arrow on the front of the burner to the left of the knob and if you roll that knob so the "off" position is on the LEFT side, that knob is off. If you have to have 2 knobs, BE CONSISTENT!! 4) The right knob has print on the face of the knob and the arrow to the left of the knob as described above. When you're standing over your pot, you have to kneel down so your eyes are at knob-level to read what setting you have. MAKE THE TEMPERATURE SCALE SO YOU CAN READ IT FROM STANDING POSITION! But even with these annoyances, which my wife and I both find minor, we love this burner and are only dinging it 1 star.

I got this because we have a gas stove and the summer months can be crucial for our household. It works great. it heats up fast and gets very hot. We love it to cook outside. Overall great purchase and great price

Este producto puedo decir k es una falsa. Pork antes d los tres meses ya el producto no servía oh dejo d funcionar y no puedo reclamar. El botón d encendió, ambos botones estaba oxidados y no giraban para poderla encender. Con toda sinceridad es un “fiasco”

Nice looking, works great and takes little space. The only thing is the temperature switches warm up along with the whole thing a bit, they shouldve put them on the side somewhere..its a bit weird to be they so close to the stove

It’s the ideal item to cook when you don’t have a stove, and it works perfect! I even love its elegant and comfortable design. The only thing I dislike is the fragility of its control parts that are made of very fragile plastic.
