I have a couple work caps that I want to keep for a while. One looked pretty sad and we washed it in a machine with other laundry. It did not hold up well so I bought these, soaked another hat in our kitchen sink after locking it into one of the units and I can't be happier with the result.Should have bought these before ruining my other hat.

I like that its durable and strong material and easy to use.It is too big for my hat. i was hoping it would help bring shape back to the hat; not sure how to explain it, but its too loose around my hat. A tighter fit would have been nice.

I've only ever washed one or two hats that i've had in the past. they never held their shape so i decided i was done washing hats. With the cost of new hats these days and the number of dirty hats i have that are still in good shape, i decided it was about time i did something about it. I read a number of reviews that rated this low but saw that those reviewers may have not been using it correctly. It's not really recommended in a clothes dryer but folks were doing it and coming out with broken or warped frames. I used the dishwasher on a warm setting as my dishwasher does not have a lower setting. I don't have the option of turning off the high heat dry so made sure that I pulled the hat out as soon as it stopped the wash. there were a couple of areas where some of the soap and dirt had collected around some seams but I took a nylon brush with some warm water and brushed those away before the hat dried. I then put the hat back in the hat washer and left it on the counter for a couple of days to allow it to dry completely. The hat came out clean and retain it's original shape. The hat washer itself had no warping or broken pieces. It worked perfectly. If you follow directions, treat it with care and caution and don't use high heat or a dryer that throws it around, you should have no issues. I'd definitely recommend this for anyone looking to purchase a hat washer.

ordered 2, so far i have washed 4 hats in dishwasher and hat cage worked well. no damage to hats or the cage.
