We end up buying cartridges every 4-5 years for our home printer. The cost for the smaller cartridges are much worse than buying the larger ones and we have never had a cartridge go bad on us. Toner is never cheap, but if your machine will except it but the toner in BIG cartridges.

Cartridge yields 1,200 less pages than HP's description.
Newly installed cartridge in my printer. Per my HP printer's report, the cartridge yields approximately 4,800 pages instead of approximately 6,000 as described by HP. Unacceptable if you ask me. Had the difference been 200 or so pages, that would have been OK, but 1,200 pages? Not sure if it's worth paying such a high price for original cartridges. Just saying.
