Many reviewers noted the cheap quality of the rivets. They definitely won't hold an airplane together, but for crafts, they are the same quality as the Dritz sold in the fabric store.The secret came from one of the reviewers who recommended the Dritz Rivet Tool.Made ALL the difference. So surprising that the Dritz tool, (which is only slightly different than the included tools) made the rivet installation fail safe.The variety of this kit is really nice. Will be used on many projects.

Good set to get for starting out. You get plenty of pieces to cover just about anything you want to do and then some. The plastic case they come in is flimsy, mine was broke on arrival but a good divided storage box from the fishing store will fix that issue.

I was able to fix a pair of slacks that needed a silver snap. Success. The snap is decorative. It’s great to fill in the snap gap on favorite slacks where one was missing. I hope it holds up in the wash.Per the reviews:I gave three stars because of NO instructions, and also fact the grommet tool is dysfunctional.A total surprise this company has ZERO videos on their merchandise. The photographs included on this Bolo site pretty much served as my instruction guide. I also viewed a number of YouTube videos. As for the snaps, the two tools used were numbered 633: one with the point end and other with a 1/8” - 3/16” concave end, in case someone isn’t clear on that.I tried a rivet or two, and they worked well. These are items that you just never know when you are going to need them. I could have used the rivets last month on a tie down buckle where stitching wore out.The tool used for the grommets was a total bust. I included a photo of two grommet attempts. The grommet does not curl down on itself. It just crushes. It was a total fail. But there are lots of small gold and silver grommets I may want to use sometime. I will check to see if Dritz has a small tool as the Dritz grommet tools I have are much too large for the CAYDO set, and I read that other buyers of this product had success with the Dritz tool.

I'm sure this is a good product but there are so many parts and NO instructions as to how to use them. I've tried the internet but no help as I don't know one piece from another.

What I have used, has been good.
Just a tip, when using the rivets you need to hit on a hard surface.
Good selection but lacking in instructions.

Kit arrived missing the snap setting tool - so useless for snaps
The kit arrived with two identical hole punches and no 2.4mm snap setting tool so we returned it. The description on Bolo simply calls it a ‘pointed tool’. The quality of both the setting tools and rivets was very poor. The hole punches did not appear to be sharpened and the snap fasteners are very small in diameter. The plating on the rivets is extremely thin and will wear out. Not worth $31 even if all the parts were correct in the kit.
