The mat’s size was as advertised, and the transport straps are very simple to use. I have zero problem rolling up the mat and putting the strap on myself.There were reviews about a powerful smell coming from the mat, which made me nervous, but I ended up ordering one anyways. The actual smell wasn’t powerful at all and it’s basically what you would expect from a product like this. So yeah, I was either lucky or most of the mats don’t have that problem.Again, some reviews were saying it slips on the ground at times. I haven’t noticed any slippage. It’s one inch thick so the mat itself is pretty heavy and the material sticks pretty well to my hardwood floor.The foam material the mat is made of is very soft and easy on your body when you’re stretching and doing your work-out. It’s actually soft enough where I can imagine it can be somewhat easy to accidentally cut it or tear it on a sharp edge if you’re not careful, especially on the bottom of the mat. If you tend to roll up the mat to transport it, you will have to roll it in the opposite direction once you unroll it to stop the mat from curling. Maybe that will get easier to do as the mat gets older. Pretty minor stuff though considering the material is what you wanted when you bought this mat. And even if the edge of the mat curls, I don’t see how it affects you during your ground exercises, except for aesthetic purposes when you’re not standing on it.The mat is of course bigger than most mats during transport because yeah, one inch foam mat. Your body will thank you when you’re doing planks though.I was very happy with the quality of this purchase!

I love the mat. It's thick and very comfortable on my knees. However, when I opened it for the first time at my yoga class, there were several cuts or punctures in the foam. I attempted to return it and the seller offered me a 10% refund due to the damage. I am concerned that the mat may deteriorate due to the damage it came with, but I need it and have no idea if the cuts will matter over time. So I accepted the $3 refund and am keeping the mat.

If you've had a knee replacement or have sensitive joints and want to get back into yoga, this mat is a 'must have.'Post surgery (I'm one year out), I've tried gel knee pads, a rolled-up towel, a gardener's kneeling pad, and other mats ...you name it. Unfortunately, the outcome was always the same: the pressure on the artificial knee was uncomfortable and sometimes, it simply downright hurt. That is, until the Fitvids mat entered my life! The 1-inch-thick high-density mat is foam-based yet provides the comfort of a gel product and is far superior to gel knee pads, which do provide some relief, but are bulky and a distraction to move and recenter (so much for being in 'the moment').The mat arrived on time, is light weight, and comes with a carrying strap but most importantly, kneeing postures are pain free. I wanted a thicker mat as I find laying on my hips, even for a short time, very painful. This mat is used daily for the stretching routine my chiropractor gave me and I also use it for pilates. I like it so much, I've added another one to my wish list in case my best friend wants to buy it for me for Christmas (one for my workout room, the other for my bedroom when the grandkids are home), or even find one for herself. It's durable, for what I put it through. No tears or damage yet and I am rough on equipment.I read the reviews and saw the complaints about smell. You have to bear in mind all this equipment does smell for a short time. However, my workout room has horse stable mats and this mat didn't come close to the smell those had given off.Yes, you will need to roll it the opposite way as it does hold the curl. No big deal, IMO.

This mat is a replacement for me - i had a thinner one before and this one is really nice and thick - well padded for support. And for some reason my cats don't claw it apart like they did the first mat I had. Highly recommend for yoga or other exercises at home or away.

I was worried that these wouldn't be thick enough to keep my knees and elbows from pressing into the floor, but they are great. I weigh a lot and this supports me perfectly.
Great Mat
This mat has helped me enormously. I have a back injury and when I work out, part of what I do involves lying on my back. Since my injury, this wasn't possible. Now, with this new one inch thick mat, I am able to do more things and do them comfortably. Did the mat have marks and indentations that will never come out when it arrived? Yes. Does that bother me? Nope. The reduced pain trumps the marks on the mat. I recommend this product.

it say 1 inch thick but in actual its only about a centimeter thick.
Bliss
After 30 years of yoga, I’ve developed a problem with my spine. I still need/want to do some exercises but was finding it difficult on my old mat. This has solved my problem . It is so thick and comfortable.If there is a downside it is of course bulkier than my old one, but I’ve managed to find a new corner to keep it when not in use. One very happy customer.
