5.0 out of 5 stars Works great - love the stand
This design of decanter is leaps better than traditional ones. The lid/stopper distributes the wine slowly in a fine layer along the inside of the glass so the wine/air exposure is as good as it gets. Many wines are ready to serve immediately after pouring in the decanter. Others that need heavy decanting sit with the lid off and are ready much sooner than when using a traditional carafe decanter. I typically serve straight from the decanter and if there is any left over when I'm done for the night I reverse it right back into the bottle and vacuum pump it. If you leave the wine in the decanter overnight (even with the lid on) it over-decants so getting it back into the bottle so easily is huge.Another convenience is that if you're having a party and want to decant numerous bottles you just decant them and return the wine to the bottle one at a time ahead of the party.Another tip is if you're going to put it right back in the bottle, detach the bottle first before flipping it to relieve the pressure and allow fresh air in. And always attend when it's attached because some wine bottles create more pressure than others so you always want to hold them in place. The cleaning balls are marginally effective - I think if there were 4x more of them they might work but I don't find it worth the effort with the ones provided. I fill it with water and let it soak overnight. The stand is invaluable! I keep a folded cloth underneath it and the decanter drip dries nicely.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very pleased!
My husband and I saw one of these for the first time while on a trip to Texas Wine Country (Fredericksburg, TX). We were so amazed by its beauty but also the ability to decant the wine twice in use. We immediately jumped on Bolo at the restaurant and during the same dinner we were shown the decanter and bought one. It arrived as soon as we got home from the trip. We love it. It comes with a very durable box and sturdy foam packaging to reuse and store the decanter when not in use. Comes with a stand and pour spout that can be sealed with a cap. We’ve been able to clean it pretty easily and haven’t had to use the metal beads that come with it to clean it. It’s a nice addition/feature but not 100% necessary to clean it. Overall, we love this decanter!!!
5.0 out of 5 stars This is perfect
I purchased this back in January. I belong to a wine club that continuously advocates aerating and decanting the big reds. I was hesitant after reading reviews of this one exploding, etc…. But ordered it anyway. I wanted to give it a good 6 months of use THEN give the review. So I use this almost every single day. The easy aeration from bottle to decanter, then the stopper allows me to store it overnight right in the decanter. It has made such a difference in my big reds. The experts are right! Aerate and decant to let these big reds bloom! And this decanter does both - easily. All while eliminating the need to wait 2 hours for the wine to “breathe.”6 months in and it still works perfectly. Rubber (? If that’s what that material is) has held up well with daily use. That says quite a bit in Yuma Az where I live!
4.0 out of 5 stars Decanter
Decanter is nice. The stand is too awkward and unstable for me to feel comfortable using, but love the decanter
5.0 out of 5 stars I like this product!
I bought this product as a gift for my girlfriend who is presently discovering her inner red wine lover. The decanter arrived nicely boxed and packaged to protect it during transit. Functionally I like this decanter quite a bit. The stopper fits nice and snug, but isn't difficult to remove for pouring and/or cleaning. The stopper itself contains a nozzle which allows the wine bottle to sit on top while inverted without the necessity of me manually holding it in place while the bottle empties. Nice design! It also includes a secondary stopper so I can cover the wine if I don't finish the bottle that evening. A nice perk I haven't seen in these products. It also is wide enough that it has successfully gone through several dishwasher cycles and gets cleaned out each time I run it through. The glass seems a bit thin, so I do wonder how many uses I'm going to get out of this before it breaks, but overall I'm thoroughly enjoying this product. If it were thicker glass I would have given it five stars.
5.0 out of 5 stars Very good decanter/aerator carafe
I've used this product a few times before writing a review. I like it so much that I bought another one as a gift for my kid (of drinking age, of course) and recommended it to a friend who bought 2. The aerator part works better than a stand-alone aerator I have. What I especially like is that I can cycle younger wines through the aerator several times, each time enhancing the taste. The decanter part works as well as other decanters of the same surface size. The only thing I am not thrilled with is drying the decanter. The drying stand does not have friction coating, and I cannot place decanter on it at an angle. That, along with the glass rather than crystal used for this decanter, results in some moisture remaining on the wall and a few water droplets on the bottom after overnight drying. A couple of days of evaporation in upright position takes care of that. And while this design is fairly new, it makes a great conversation piece.
5.0 out of 5 stars Worked exactly like the pictures. This is great tool for wine drinkers.
Not all wine requires aeration or decanting but many red wines definitely benefit from it. This is a great aeration tool. I'm very happy with mine and highly recommend it. This setup is especially good if don't want to own a separate decanter and aerator. The box with this decanter, aerator with cover, drying stand, and cleaning beads are not as tall as the other decanters we own (shown in a picture with a wine bottle for scale if you're managing limited cabinet space) but the carafe is still is broad enough to provide a large surface area to decant wine properly. Storage is more efficient due to modest scale of all components. This product is correctly sized and practical, not big and flashy. If you have a wine that needs some additional time resting to open up, it's easy to just let the wine sit in the decanter for 30 minutes to an hour of decanting while you cook. This is a great product. I wish I had found something like this years ago.
Easy to use and within moments you have tastier wine.
Honestly it has reimagined how I drink wine. The whole experience has been enhanced.Previously I would leave a wine open for a few minutes. Sometimes an 1-hour. Obviously this really helps develop the flavourIt is easy to use and within minutes you have tastier wine.It is a challenge to clean but I worry about the next day.Definitely recommend.
