5.0 out of 5 stars Will be my go to!
These burn way longer than the standard votives I used to purchase. I would have to change out the candle like every 3 hours in my oil burners which was very annoying if you're trying to be in a Zen vibe. These last like 6 hours, burns clean, it's great.
5.0 out of 5 stars UPDATE: Careless packing, Amazon!
One star does NOT reflect on quality (see below) JUST this minute rcvd my Bolo 📦 containing the Zion Judaica tealights. Unfortunately, they had not been padded/protected for the delivery and several were loose in the box and had been damaged by the heavier contents. So this review is a caution to Bolo about packaging, rather than the quality of the candles. I will add that part of the review in a few hours.UPDATE: Yep, the packing at Bolo Fulfillment was the only issue! I wrote the above review after test-lighting one of the Zion Judaica tealights...at 3:48pm, in a cast iron, openwork Japanese style hanging lantern. Outside. Slight breeze. At 8:30pm, it guttered and went out. Nearly 5 hours. Not bad, but I tried another, just to see if that was average. This one was lit at 9:30pm, same conditions. I had a hard time getting it into the lantern after I lit it and wound up breaking the lit half of wick off. I relit it and it was super dim at first, but by the time the inner circle of wax was melting, the flame again brightened. Anyway, when I went to bed at 2:45am, the brightness was going dim - so the 2nd tealight lasted for nearly 6 hours.(Mainstays is my usual brand and they may burn a bit brighter, but the hours burn time is similar. However, when I have used them out of doors, they succumb to any wind current and burn more quickly.) My next test will be under my old school coffee carafe warmer! All in all so far, I have zero complaints. Quality, burn hours, soft light and price have convinced me that Zion Judaica tea candles are definitely going to make up a significant part of my emergency lighting shelf.
5.0 out of 5 stars Consistently good
I’ve purchased this item four times, never finding any reason to switch to another company. The candles burn nicely and work well in my votives, warmers, etc.
4.0 out of 5 stars Definitely recommended
--UPDATE 10/14/2018--Well, this is disappointing. Not the candles, no. But the fact this is no longer available for sale. Why can't good things last? I came here to buy another pack of Zion judaica candles but now I can only just leave my impressions after a long time of use (hundreds of uses). These are simply fantastic. They burn extremely clean and the rate at which they leave unused wax is much lower than my initial review stated. When the air conditioner is off, mostly during the fall, the flame will literally burn statically - no movement at all, just an extremely stable flame which contributes to zero soot. The himalayan salt candle holder has zero soot in the burn area. And their price was pretty decent. Well, like they say, only the good die young. Goodbye zion judaica candles, and thank you for making a great product.--Original review--I have nothing to compare them with, so take it as you will, but I like these a lot. They burn for around 4 hours which is pretty good for such small candles. They also burn extremely clean, as I have noticed almost 0 soot around the burn area. With that said, let's see the cons. First, if you're not careful you can break off the wick and the tealight is essentially unburnable. Second, about 50 to 60% of candles burn completely, but the rest do leave some candle residue which could give the candles a few more minutes of light. Nothing too major though, I will buy more of this unless I discover something better.Oh, one more thing. 120 may seem a lot but if you use two or so per day, they will run out quick. I know, basic algebra. If you are like me, you will burn two per night. That's 365 * 2 = 730 tealights in a year. 730 / 120 ~ 6 packs of Zion tealights. 6 * $12 current Bolo price = $73 per year of burning these tealights -- that's almost a prime membership. Is it too bad? Not really. At 4 hours per tealight, 4 * 730 = 2920 hours of light. That is 121.6 days of straight candle burning -- not bad. So yeah, just skip that Corpobucks latte a few times and you can buy tealights for a year. It has too many calories anyway. :)
5.0 out of 5 stars Long burn time
I have not used them but I feel they are a great value for the coins. The candles are in a aluminum container so you don't have to find a holder when you are ready to burn them. They are supposed to be unscented
