    These jars do exactly what you expect them to do; however, the one feature I don't like is their shape. They are sort of square which makes them difficult to hold (especially for a person with smaller hands). Of course, this allows them to be less tall, for storage purposes, but I use them for iced coffee and iced tea and they are hard to hold and pour from because of their shape. Otherwise, just fine.

    The metal clasp is under so much tension it shattered the glass from normal use. The first time I closed it, it chipped glass off the glass around the neck, which I found on the floor with my bare feet. It finally shattered the body this week. DO NOT BUY!
