The endpapers take a different yet equally iconic approach, showing the city through its parks, people and typical Manhattan breakfast on the go. Launched to coincide with the publication of Stanga’s I am New York book of illustrations, this ruled notebook also includes a bright postcard insert showing the world-famous Fifth Avenue stretching away from Washington Square Park.

I love this notebook. I think I will get another one just in case they don’t make them anymore. I’m using it for journaling and it is perfect. The design it is very pretty. It comes with a postcard of NY. I love the details.

The cover of this notebook is stunning. I love the outside of it and the art inside the cover as well. The pages in this notebook are a poorer quality than in your standard moleskine, which is really frustrating. The pens I use for my other moleskines, which are my favorite pens, bleed through the paper in this edition.I also wish it came with the options for grid or dotted paper as opposed to just lined paper.

I came across this book while roaming around Rockerfella area and I liked it on the window display. I ordered it and it arrived today. In a word, most of the drawings are beautiful. I esp like his drawing of Brooklyn bridge, subway with cutout showing people inside and pipes/wiring, and some of the brow stones. His main drawing is beautiful; it is a fold out from the book showing the Manhattan skyline and Brooklyn bridge has spiderman, superman, kingkong, and Godzilla in them.I'm torn between giving this book 4 stars vs 6 stars. Unfortunately, I felt a few of the drawings were a let down. Here's a few examples:1. St Patrick's Cathedral , he draws most of it, but washes it out and blurs the right hand side2. Rockerfella area with the Ceasar, while not a bad drawing, it doesn't do justice to the beauty of this place, I think a close up view of Caesar with the ice skating ring will be a better view; it's perhaps one of most important areas of NYC3. Union Sq, the drawing is too simplistic without enough detail4. Grand Central - not enough detail or colors5. Charging Bull, Occulus, TwinTower waterfall memorial, Guggenhiem - what the heck?I can name more.. but it really leaves me with the feeling the author/artist could have done a much better job on some of these drawings but didn't. Did he simply get tired? or skimp?I know the artist is capable of much more so I expected more for every drawing, not just a select few.Lastly, I feel the colors on the drawings are too dull, making NYC appear to be a boring place, when it's fun and exciting place to visit.I got this book mostly for the kids to inspire them into drawing.

I would have love that the impression on the cover was from a different material. Nada that the yellow etiquette with the recipe was part of the design. Overall is a good moleskine notebook.
