Strangely enough, I avoided products from this company for many years because I didn't like the company name. I don't remember why I ended up buying this product, but I loved it when I received it and used it in baking. I really like the texture of the product and it works great in my recipes.. It's coarser than coconut flour, but finer than most unsweetened coconut that I have bought before and the flavor is great. Since then, I've bought several other products from this company and have been happy with all of them.One of my favorite reasons is that they don't add salt unless it's clearly mentioned in the title (such as salted nuts) Most of their products have no salt, which is important to me. Because of my sensitivity to salt, I cook almost everything I eat and I have found the items I buy from Nupik fit my needs.

It is a fine shred ideal for coating candies. I use it to coat my Turkish Delight candies, and it is perfect for that use. It isn't sweetened so it is a bit dry, but it adds a nice coconut flavor.

For some reason it's difficult to find unsweetened coconut in my local grocery stores. All they carry are brands with a shocking amount of added sugar. I do a lot of baking and I like using shredded coconut in low-carb recipes, so this product is perfect. I can order big bags at reasonable prices and don't need to worry about all that needless sugar. I love this brand.
