5.0 out of 5 stars Nice sturdy steel rack
(function(){ P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function'){ A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })() Pros: Shiny steel won't stain clothes. Easy to set up and flatten back after use.Holds a lot of clothing.Little clip thingies on one side work well for socks or underwear.Cons: The little plastic clip thingies are not likely to keep working for years and years, although if they break, they're easy to remove. The connectors seem to be plastic, and I don't know if they are UV resistant, so this rack might not last long outdoors. I hope I'm wrong. It's excellent for indoor use, anyway.
5.0 out of 5 stars ONGMICS Clothes Drying Rack
The SONGMICS Clothes Drying Rack is a fantastic addition to any laundry room. Its foldable 2-level design provides ample space for drying clothes, and the free-standing structure is both sturdy and convenient. The large drying rack can accommodate a significant amount of laundry, making it perfect for families. However, I did notice a bit of damage upon arrival, likely due to mishandling during shipping. Despite this minor issue, the drying rack performs exceptionally well and is a great value for the price. Highly recommend!
5.0 out of 5 stars Large, sturdy, easy to assemble and take down
This is a large, sturdy, easy to assemble laundry drying rack. It holds a full load of laundry (more or less), though you might not want to put more than a few towels on it at a time (say, 2-4, and at opposite ends). This is partly due to their weight possibly unbalancing the rack, but also because the towels might block the sun from drying anything placed beneath or next to them.DRYING TIME: A full load of laundry (with only 2-4 full body towels) placed in direct summer sun can be dry in roughly 4-5 hours, depending on the fabrics, thickness, spacing, etc. After about 2 hours, I recommend you flip and/or move your items around to make sure both sides get dry. This includes bringing things up from the bottom rack to the top to make sure they get sunlight. If you don't, it might take an extra few hours to get everything completely dry.ASSEMBLY: The sparse one page assembly instructions aren't very clear, but fortunately, you can figure out what to do in a few minutes simply by guesswork. You only need to assemble the bits that hold up the arms, and that's just a matter of slipping four metal wings into their holes in the rack, then swinging them up into the arms to lock them in place.Once assembled, be careful moving the rack as these metal wings can easily fall down as they are only loosely locked in place. I assume this is to make disassembling easy, but it can be annoying when your laundry spills onto the floor. However, if you leave the unit in place or are slow and careful about dragging it into a new position with or without laundry on it, it seems sturdy enough.BONUS: The unit includes a handy snap on plastic sock holder that fits onto your choice of the two upper arms. I thought this was nice touch (it easily holds a dozen or more socks), but I would have preferred it if they'd included two sock holders to make spacing the socks easier so they get more sun and air flow. If possible, I'd suggest you leave a space or two between each sock for that purpose.DISASSEMBLY: You have two options, depending on your needs. 1) You can simply fold the metal wings down to save space and continue to use the laundry rack as a smaller A-frame style rack; or 2) you can fold the wings down (or remove them) to fully collapse the entire rack for easy storage or transport.SUMMARY: Before I bought it, I researched other drying racks. This unit had the best ratings and reviews and it lives up to the hype! It's good value for money, holds a lot of laundry (plus socks), and should last a long time. It's definitely sturdy enough for what it is, but I feel it could have been made a bit sturdier. I think the decision not to go heavier was to make it light weight to save on shipping as well as easier for the customer to move around. It's probably also safer being this weight in case of accident or collapse.
5.0 out of 5 stars Holds an entire "super XL" load of laundry
I have only had the simple wooden racks you can find at the grocery before now, but have been told for years "gullwing" racks are superior. I put this one on my list and let it sit there a bit, but finally got tired of the dryer generating too much heat in our house during the worst parts of summer. It's on its test run now but, of course, how well it dries depends on me at this point. The rack is lightweight but sturdy, well constructed and easy to assemble. It folds VERY flat so is fairly easy to store, doesn't take up much more space than my old rack but holds a LOT more clothing and, unlike the old rack, doesn't try to wobble and collapse if you look at it wrong. The rails are well-spaced. I have not yet braved the sock clips yet as they feel a bit tight but other reviewers seem to like them so I may get braver over time.I have an oversized washer (enough that I forget I can't put a full load in there and have our dryer finish the dry cycle in one run, unless I split the load in two) and this rack fits ALL OF IT with all the racks lifted open. There are no sharp edges to catch clothing on, so delicates should also dry nicely without snagging. And, of course, with the ability to raise and lower each rack section individually, you can customize it to your available space.**UPDATE** I've been using this for about a year and I can definitely say I have zero regrets about my purchase. It's hot here again so I've dug the rack back out, started using slightly smaller loads of laundry just so the clothes dry faster. With the fan running on them, it takes about a day to get the clothes mostly dry, then I can run a SHORT cycle in the dryer late in the evening after the sun is down (MUCH shorter than it would take to dry them from wet - if I left the clothes on the rack longer I could probably just air fluff them) to take the last tiny bit of dampness out and get rid of the "crunchy" texture you get with air drying. Not only does it work extremely well (if you live someplace humid like I do, if you have room near a bathroom just flip the exhaust fan on), but it also serves as something of a swamp cooler as the room with the drying rack in it is several degrees cooler than the rest of the house. We have a monitor set up in that room and you can actually watch the temperature drop once the fan gets going. And even with multiple fans on high it uses MUCH less electricity than the dryer, so it's an all-around win. After this long the rack also shows no signs of wear or rusting, and is still nice and sturdy and has never tipped over even when I'm fool enough to manhandle it after completely loading it with clothes.
5.0 out of 5 stars Big, sturdy and great for the price!
I love how you can customize the height of all panels. It folds completely so it’s very easy to store. The metal is shiny and looks good quality!
4.0 out of 5 stars Huge!
It works great and it’s good quality. It wobbles a little but doesn’t fall over, and it’s pretty adjustable and easy to assemble. The biggest thing to know is that it’s absolutely massive. It was my fault for not checking dimensions but if you have a small apartment like me there’s literally nowhere to use or store it. It definitely might be useful for some people but I wish I had figured out the size in advance
Resistente y práctico
(function(){ P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function'){ A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })() Me encanta este tendedero para interior. Le cabe mucha ropa y es resistente. Muy liviano aún con la ropa. Es fácil de armar/desarmar y guardar. Lo recomiendo
A MUST HAVE
I live in a condo and my dryer sucks! It completely ruins my clothes, so Im using this instead. It folds very well into a slice and I tuck in my closet. When unfolded, its has SO MUCH space to hang stuff on. Its VERY steady and stable ! I love this
Easy
What can i say, the picture describes it well. Its easy to assemble and if you dont know how just look at the picture on the box it shows you where the metal rods go!! Its pretty sturdy holds my like 40-50 pound blanket. Im sure you could find one cheaper. but this is easy delivery and i dont have to run around stores looking for one. Your clothes smell better when dried outside as well. Or inside!
Better than the one I bought from Costco
It seems more sturdy, with less plastic to break. My last one (from Costco) fell apart because the plastic knobs broke off. I was hesitant but I am happy I bought this one.
Me gustó mucho
Excelente, se ve muy resistente, tiene buen tamaño, fácil de poner y quitar. Lo recomiendo.
