My landlord has his car here for storage but needs it every now and then. I was about to take it out to keep the fluids going and found out the cars dead. Tried a different but popular brand battery charger maintainer and after a jump start. Let it charge overnight. Woke up to try it again and found out it was dead still.Got this shipped same day and immediately it started charging the battery without needing the force charge. Let it sit overnight and surprised the performance was much better. Yes it's slowly charging (box says 30 hours or more) but the connectivity is reliable and strong. Temperature I noticed was warm but not hot. And checked on it again and saw the indicator went to above a quarter charged which is already much better.Small and powerful, it will charge batteries from dead but it is a slow charge. Very much value for money when it is on sale but it works so well I'm going to use it on my weekend car that sits in the garage or maybe buy a second one because it works so well and has options for other kinds of batteries!

I was having problems with my ride on lawnmower starting, even with a new battery it drained it quickly. This thing has nothing truly special to write about, except that it works exactly as advertised. So far, no issues mowing anymore. Love seeing the charge stages, and the easy, no hassle way of using it. This is the perfect addition to my garage, and I am so glad I made the purchase.

I got several of these for my antique cars that don't get used regularly. They keep the batteries always in tip top shape and I've had no issues with the devices. I especially like that they work on 6 and 12 volt batteries, of which I have both. Just plug it in and let it do it's thing. If the battery is severely low, you may have to allow a couple days for the charger to get it back to working condition as this(NOCO GENIUS2) is only a 2A charger and tender. I would recommend to anyone.

I like this product it really helped restore my car battery. Which was down to about 4 volts from sitting in my car, which is garaged all winter. It takes a little time to fully charge. A few hours , But the battery now seems to be holding at 12.8 volts. It's a good maintainer for my classic car.

Mounted the bracket to the plastic cover beween the grille and the radiatior of my Excursion. Plug hits the ground when I drop it next to the battery, so plugging it in to an extension cord. Charges easily overnight, extending the life of my battery by at least a year charging it once every other month.

Great product. I've come to really like Noco products. I have several of their batteries and jump boxes. All have been great. Don't expect this to charge a battery really fast but it's great for trickle charging and maintaining.

My husband quit driving two years ago, and his vehicle, a 2009 Mini Cooper sits in our garage. I have tried to remember to take it out and drive it from time to time, but the little that I'm doing has not kept the battery charged. I bought the NOCO GENIUS2 after using the company's jumpstarter to jump a nearly dead battery the week before. I had watched YouTube videos on the battery chargers (various sizes) and decided that the GENIUS2 would be the best fit for my needs, even though I think the GENIUS1 would have sufficed as this car is always garaged and doesn't need to be weather-resistant, which the 2 is.I unboxed the GENIUS2, connected the red (+) and then the neg (-), plugged the charger into an extension cord - the 72" cord isn't quite enough and most will need an extension cord to use this charger - and then plugged the extension cord into a surge-protected outlet. The charger recognized the 12V connection and started charging within 10 seconds.Despite having run the car for about an hour, the battery was still low, but was topped off to full charge in 6 hours. I took the charger off the battery (reversing the order of how I put it on) and let the vehicle sit for 24 hours without the charger on it. When I put the charger back on, it was still at full battery. FYI... the battery is fairly new so this was not unexpected.I like that this battery charger is so easy to use and clearly shows the operator what's going on and when the process is completed.Based on my positive experience with both the NOCO jumpstarter and the GENIUS2, I've purchased a GENIUS1 to use with my lawn tractor, replacing an older one by another maker. I think I've found a brand I can trust, and I'm happy to recommend the NOCO GENIUS2 to anyone who needs a automotive charger and battery maintainer.SIDE NOTE: My husband didn't think I'd be able to jumpstart the car with the jumper pack, nor did he think I'd be able to setup the battery maintainer. He was thrilled that he was wrong and that it was all so easy to do. The old way of jumpstarting a battery and getting sparks or feeling like you might get zapped is no longer a worry. No one should be afraid to use these products and everyone should have at least the jumpstarter in their car. (It would make a great graduation gift for kids going to college.)
