I had a hard time finding a monitor that gave the option of a parent unit AND mobile access. Thats what led me to this baby monitor. The camera works well and has night vision so you’ve got a clear picture in the dark. It tracks temperature as well which I really like. You can talk through the camera and play music too. There’s a ton of settings on the parent unit to customize it to your liking. The connection can be spotty if you’re very far away or have unreliable WiFi, but 99% of the time I’ve had no issues with that. So glad we went with this one over some other really expensive competitors.

Perfect monitor. Super easy to use and set up. Great picture quality. Love that it has high app and separate monitor. I purchased several others before sticking with this one. Others were too cheap and poor quality, Owlet was way too complicated and just led to anxiety.

I don't even know where to begin when it comes to bragging this up. It has dual wifi or antenna capabilities. The antenna can reach all the way to my neighbors house more than 100 ft away. The ability to play music has helped my little one. Something worth mentioning is that my daughter's sound machine is directly next to the camera/mic and it picks up the sound machine and tunes the audio of the machine down so that I can actually hear any peep from my daughter. Basically like a background noise cancelling thing. The ability to move the camera around and zoom in and out remotely is awesome. I can rotate it to either be on the crib or view the entire 10x10 room in one shot. Been using it for over a year and the battery portable charge lasts almost all day if left unplugged and on. Bonus if you don't want to actually install it on the wall.. I was able to use a spring clamp on the camera and clamp it to a piece of furniture because the camera has a mounting area that has enough space for that.

I am stunned at how awful this product is. It randomly alerts me that it can’t connect—router or directly—in the middle of the night. My baby’s room is directly across a small hallway. I’m asking it to connect about thirty feet. Other places in the house are a non-starter and if they are able to connect, it’s a pixely view and very delayed. I had a eufy direct connect monitor with my first baby and I swear it connects better than this thing despite the lack of WiFi. Plus it didn’t have absurd delays from ten feet away (lovely to hear screaming baby in real life AND the monitor). Please find a different monitor to purchase; the point of these things is to reduce anxiety by being able to see your baby. This product has only added anxiety because I can often hear the baby crying but can’t see what’s going on on the monitor. Awesome when you are sleep deprived and hormonal!

I wanted to wait a few months to use this before writing a review.So far this baby monitor has worked well. There has been a few frustrations but for the most part it works as intended.The good:-Large screen-Clear picture-Good sound-Camera is able to move around and zoom in/out-I like that it has a dimming mode. After so much time the screen will dim so it’s not so bright in your face all night.The bad:-We have had several instances where the monitor just doesn’t work. It says it’s not connected to the camera. Sometimes we have to unplug the camera just to get the monitor to work again. It was happening quite often in the beginning. So much so that my husband wanted to return it. Practically every time we tried turning it on it wouldn’t work at first. We always had to wait 5-10 minutes, turn the monitor off and on a few times or just unplug the camera in order for the screen to come up. But recently we haven’t had any more issues. I began to realize if I tried turning the monitor on while it was plugged up it seemed to cause issues. If I take it off the wall plug in and then turn it on it doesn’t have any issues. Not sure why that is. But just be aware. Other reviews mention this problem as well.-The battery sucks. There’s no kind way to put it. The monitor will barely last 2 hours. Even if you have it turned off. Once you take it off the wall plug-in don’t expect it to last long. Even if it’s turned off all the way the battery still drains. This is something vtech really needs to look at improving.

This was our third attempt at a baby monitor, and by far the best one. Not wanting the phone only, this comes with the handheld unit that is a great size to see the room, has a lot of settings, great picture, camera movement, zoom and day/night vision. Its also great with the wifi settings, as it allows us to use all around the house and outside within our Wifi range!
5.0 out of 5 stars BEST MONITOR/APP OUT OF THREE I HAVE TRIED
I have 3 monitors currently as I was having issues with the connection after a few months with my first monitor. I bought the Nanit last month and the night vision was not as good as the first camera i had, and i do not like a wide-angle view, but the connection was good. for $250 on the nanit, i needed more of the positive features my first camera had (good night vision, not wide-lense). That is what led me to VTECH! The connection is perfect like the nanit , and the night vision is perfect like my first monitor. It is the best of both worlds for me, and not as pricey as the Nanit.

Me parece un excelente producto. Es nítida la imagen y el sonido es claro. Lo mejor es que desde donde esté (mi oficina) puedo ver a través del celular a mi bebé mientras está en casa. La única debilidad es la batería, pero nada extraordinario, se puede mantener conectado, y cuando realmente sea necesario desconectarlo. Gran producto.

This was clearly a product that had been returned, poorly repackaged and send back out. Returned for a refund.
Works as expected with one missing feature
Works as expected with one missing feature.. the camera unit always has to be plugged in with charger .. and doesn’t have a battery backup so cannot be placed anywhere.
