5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing Product!
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } OMG, this walking stick is a joint saver. I just finished a month-long trip to Greece and Turkey where I did a lot of walking on uneven surfaces, stairs climbing, hill hiking. With weak ankles, a weak hip and some balance issues, the trip would have been a much different experience without this stick. I was able to go higher, faster and longer with it and avoided a lot of pain to boot! I love it so much, I purchased another one for my brother who has had 3 hip replacements, knee surgery, and once had a broken ankle. He is 6'5" and about 300 lbs. I am tall too. We love that it is adjustable for various heights and can be converted easily from a cane to a walking stick. We also love that it is collapseable for storage - we both travel alot and it really helps that it can be folded to stash in a bag or in a plane overhead compartment. We had no issues with taking it on the plane or getting through security at airports in four different countries. My only suggestion for improvement would be that it have a clip to hold the 2 halves together more firmly and/or have a storage bag .
5.0 out of 5 stars Superior to traditional "crook" canes
This is my second ergonomic walking cane and I couldn't be happier. I never understood how walking hunched over was comfortable and the rounded top seemed to put pressure off-center. This cane automatically straightens your posture and you feel more balanced and in control. Lightweight and sturdy.
4.0 out of 5 stars Overall good walking aid
Found it to be very sturdy and useful. I did have to re-tighten the connection between the two halves but a little duct tape would fix that. It does fall over a lot when you lean it against something so be mindful of that if you can't bend over easily to pick it up. I will be making a new wrist strap for it as the one it comes with isn't quite long enough. I did a lot of walking on the first day of using it and I felt it in the arm and shoulder but it was bearable. Overall, if you just need a little assistance then it is a good walking aid. Can definitely see how it is better than walking hunched over with a cane.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Product at a Great Price
I got this for my 68yr old dad when he came out of hospital after surgery & he loves everything about it.It’s both light & strong with an ergonomic handle & is height adjustable. Not to mention it looks good. After a few weeks use, it stopped being able to stand on its own but that’s not an issue for him.He would recommend it.I should have added - being foldable is a great bonus
5.0 out of 5 stars Great for walking with back and hip problems
I have painful cervical, dorsal, lumbar, and sacral back problems which cause pain and mobility issues. One of my hips is replaced and the other needs to be replaced. I have been unable to walk well for some time but do not want to use a wheelchair. I am unable to use a regular cane or walker because pushing up on them is too painful. I discovered the upright cane via electronic advertisement. This cane has made walking possible again. The foot of the cane makes it easy to pivot and balance. The handle makes it possible for you to pull yourself along. The height adjustment assures proper height positioning. The only problems I have with the cane are the top unscrews every week or so; also, the cane folds up for portability which allows the bottom part to pull apart if the foot gets stuck under something. All in all the cost makes the cane worthwhile. I would buy it again.
3.0 out of 5 stars Overall Good Cane, but Rather Heavy...
I'm rather tall at 6'3" and weigh 250lbs. It can be a little difficult to find a cane that's tall enough and capable of supporting my weight. Thankfully, I mainly use canes for posture/balance rather than weight-bearing mobility issues, but don't see why more canes can't support more weight. This can has a rather good weight capacity and definitely doesn't have an issue with height. This new design has the cane handle up by the user's elbow rather than by the hip, so it is definitely a tall cane. It takes some getting used to, but I really do like the design. The top of the cane handle needs some work/redesign, though. Even at the correct height adjustment, it's just not comfortable to place either the index finger or thumb on top of the handle like you're supposed to do. I don't know who it's designed for, but they don't seem to be human? (haha) Again, I still like it, but they do need to revisit that handle design. The biggest negative I give this cane is that it is rather heavy. Again, I'm a tall, large person and don't have any strength related issues, but this cane gets cumbersome after a while due to its weight. I think making the shaft out of carbon fiber or maybe lighter weight alloy would be better. They definitely need to reduce the weight. My favorite cane is still the LEKI Wanderfreund Black Carbon Trekking Staff. It's not intended to be used for a mobility cane, but it works really well as one, has very positive locking adjustments, is ridiculously light weight, nice handle, and can lengthened to walking staff height or reduced to cane height. Now, the big caveat is that it's literally $100 more than this cane, but this is definitely a case of getting what you pay for.
5.0 out of 5 stars My Best
I have better balance and less back pain with this walking stick. It's good for me to stand up straight.
5.0 out of 5 stars Broken hip/ankle
Perfect.. my muscle is not enough to hold me up alone.. this is better then the walker and allows so many hand positions.. I get craps and week wrist.. the different angles when needed is priceless 6'3. I could make it taller but no need very stable..
Comfortable and stable for walking
(function() { P.when('cr-A', 'ready').execute(function(A) { if(typeof A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel === 'function') { A.toggleExpanderAriaLabel('review_text_read_more', 'Read more of this review', 'Read less of this review'); } }); })(); .review-text-read-more-expander:focus-visible { outline: 2px solid #2162a1; outline-offset: 2px; border-radius: 5px; } The media could not be loaded. I’ve been using a walking stick that I made myself from beach wood. Has worked well for me but needed something better. I’ve had a broken back for 4 years and I’ve tried a cane but those hurt the wrist and are not that stable plus they don’t help much if you need to pull yourself up a hill. I was so happy when I found this by accident and decided to give it a try. I couldn’t be happier with it. It has a wide base on the ground which helps a lot compared to my wood walking stick. And the hand grip is much better and easier also. The curved part is comfortable and easy to hold onto without any hand or arm fatigue. It will stand on its own also but you have to get it in the right spot first.I like that is folds so it fits just perfect in the back of my car. Also the hight adjustments are nice so you can make it just the way you like. For someone like me who doesn’t want the stigma of a cane (plus like I said those don’t work that good for me anyways) this is great. It looks like a walking stick but gives better support than a cane. I’ve had people comment on it and massages therapists have said they know many people who they will tell about this as they think they would benefit from it. No one had ever seen this before and I’ve never seen anyone with one of these ether. If you’re looking for a good supportive walking stick/cane this is the way to go. I’d recommend it and I’d buy again if and when need be. I’ve used this while walking indoors and on the beach and this is the best things I’ve used in 4 years. It’s not slippery on surfaces and is very stable.
Comfortable well made
I’m 6.5 big guy this is the best walking stick /cane i have had - maybe should come with a round end as well but easily enough to get on line
Muy ergonomico
Recomendado ampliamente
Reliable Support with the Medical King Walking Cane
As someone who occasionally needs assistance with mobility, I recently decided to invest in the Walking Cane for Men and Women by Medical King. While it has some notable features and benefits, there are a few aspects worth considering before making a purchase.Firstly, the cane's special balancing technology is quite impressive. It provides a stable and secure grip, which instilled confidence during my walks. The adjustable height settings were also convenient, allowing me to find the perfect fit for my needs. However, I found the overall weight of the cane to be slightly heavier than expected. While it provides excellent support, it may feel cumbersome for extended periods of use, especially for those with weaker grip strength or mobility issues.Additionally, the design and aesthetics of the cane could be improved. While functionality is paramount, a sleeker and more modern appearance would enhance its appeal, especially for users who prefer a more stylish accessory.Overall, the Medical King Walking Cane offers reliable support and stability, thanks to its special balancing technology and adjustable height settings. However, potential buyers should consider the weight and design aspects to ensure it meets their specific needs and preferences.
