5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent quality chips!
These chips are just as good, if not better than your name brand potato chips. If you put these in a bowl and tried them you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. Crunchy, just the right amount of salt and HUGE chips. Why pay three times the money for a name brand when you can get these? These will be my go-to in future. Very pleased with them!
5.0 out of 5 stars Tastes great and inexpensive
Just as good as any other chips and inexpensive
4.0 out of 5 stars Great for Just Snacking or With Dip
Put these on 'Subscribe' also so I would not keep forgetting to add them to my grocery list. Tried to give up chips, but these are just too good. Enjoy.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good chips
We like these as good as the name brand and they are less expensive!
3.0 out of 5 stars Could be better
The appearance of the chip is as expected. Not too thick. Texture is fine. I'm used to chips that are a little bit more salty than these, so I don't think they're salty enough. The oil is a little rancid so maybe it sat in a warehouse with too much heat or something I don't know. So The taste isn't up to par. Definitely will need dip for these chips. They also may be a little bit more greasy than let's say ruffles.
5.0 out of 5 stars Tastes good.
Chips taste good. A little bit broken, but still plenty enough for dipping. Lightly salted. Great crispness.
5.0 out of 5 stars As good as the name brand
These Bolo brand wavy potato chips are just as good as the name brand at a fraction of the price! They’re super crunchy, not too oily and have the perfect amount of salt. I really love these chips. I can’t recommend them enough and it’s such a great value!!!
2.0 out of 5 stars Amazon wavy potato chips
What a treat these chips are/were!!! I admit I am a lover of anything 'potato' and chips are right at the top of my list. I had to give up chips about 7 years ago along with other higher sodium products (like french fries!!). However, you can only torture yourself for so long. I checked the salt content of various brands to see how much of a handful I could get away with. I was very pleased to see you could "scarf down" 20 chips of the Bolo product and only consume about 120 mgs. of sodium. How sweet it is!! Also, when comparing brands, you actually get about 3x the potato chip for the 120 mgs of sodium because these chips are about 3x thicker than the very popular brand that brags, "you can't have just one." There's another wavy chip brand that's well known and that was one of my faves. However, over time, either something happened to the chips' manufacture process or to my stomach because I began having some nasty bouts of heartburn with that brand. I of course then gave it up so I wouldn't burn a massive hole in my gullet. Man, I'll tell you that after all these years, having a handful of these babies was better than having a tender, tasty chunk of prime rib! Seriously. They are very fresh and not drenched with oil, so are crispy and superb. I sure as heck hope they stay that way cause I'll be getting them regularly to satisfy that chip drought. Excellent product. Thanks Bolo.Edit: I recently purchased another three-package order of these chips. Between October and a couple of months ago, I do not know what Bolo or its supplier/contractor did to these chips!! They are awful!! The chips are greasy and have an off flavor and a bad mouth feel. They are no longer tender crisp. Many are sharp and jagged. One handful and I got the old style heartburn as I got from other chips from the supermarket. I guess it's a mistake giving a product a rave review. It seems it gives the company a path to cheapen the product and screw up a good thing. Disgusting. In fact, there were several chips whose flavor I could not immediately identify. After thinking about it for some minutes, all I could think of was burning auto tires. I kid you not!! No more of these for me.
