These were a gift to my husband who is practially a popcorn enthusiast. XD lol.He has loved trying all of the different types with the kids, and they have been rathing them on a scale of 1 to 10 on each package, so they know which ones they would like to order more of in the future. ^_^Definitely recommend!

Last year I purchased a Whirley Pop and found Amish Country Popcorn when looking for types of popcorn to pop. By far, Amish Country Popcorn was the best I tried. The popcorn is fresh, and there are very few unpopped kernels. I really enjoy their smaller, hull-less varieties. I find them really flavorful. Also, I prefer to order through Bolo. I find the shipping much faster and the popcorn better packaged within a sturdier box then when ordering directly through their online store. I find this a little odd because it looks to be shipping from the same location. When I have ordered directly from them, though, the product wasn't shipped in a sturdy box, and it arrived damaged. When I contacted their customer service about the damage, the lady sounded irritated with me and told me that no one else had received their product in a damaged box. Anyways, their service through Bolo is outstanding, and they proactively reached out to be sure I was satisfied (without knowing about my previous experience with their online store). I appreciate that and their quality product!

This popcorn is absolutely delicious! The kernels are very fresh and pops wonderfully. We will definitely be buying again!!

This variety bundle was fresh and completely delicious. It was wonderfully novel to experience a bounty of unusual popcorn strains we’ve never known before! However after receiving a direct reply from the company as to the popcorn not being organic, I unfortunately decided not to reorder. Here’s the quoted reply I received on July 29, 2019:“Hey, thank you for the question! We do have non-GMO popcorn, so nothing has been genetically modified, but we do not have organic popcorn. We spray some in the fields (with pesticides and herbicides – NOT Roundup) to make sure that the popcorn does not get contaminated with bugs or with diseases. If you want a popcorn that has not been sprayed at all, you will have to verify that it is certified organic. If there is anything else that we can help you with, please give us an email back or call us at 260-589-8513. Thank you very much!” - Matthew HarrisFurther, out of all the strains in this assortment, the Ladyfinger, Purple and Blues were our favourites. The Ladyfinger was especially delicious to us because along with it’s superior flavor it was remarkably tender and crunchy all in one for it’s miniature popcorn size! The Ladyfinger seemed to also be an heirloom variety since it was a tiny kernel in contrast to larger hybridized kernels. We stove popped using Snappy coconut oil then drizzled with pure butter and sprinkled sea salt. Thusly I’m very disappointed this corn isn’t organic.Also many reviews assume Amish don’t use pesticides when in fact they do. Further, this company in particular is not owned by Amish, however is located within Amish country. Here is the quoted direct company reply I received on July 29th, 2019:“About half of our workforce is Amish (If you receive a 1#, 2#, or 6# Bag, it was most likely filled by one of the Amish ladies that work here). When the owner started the business, he wanted something that would reflect where the popcorn came from – the roots. We are in the middle of “Amish Country” here in Indiana, so he decided to go with the name “Amish Country Popcorn.” The owner is not Amish but is descended from Swiss heritage.”Lastly, when I purchased this in February 2019 the price was a fair $34.99. It is now $39.99. I’m unsure it’s worthy of the increase in price. I’ve noticed increased prices on Bolo this month.

This is very good popcorn!! We eat a lot of popcorn in this house!! Just about every night, yes, every night. We live in a small town, just over 9,000 in population, so there's not a lot of choice around here, so the popcorn we get at the store is usually just ok, kind of chewy when popped and we do not eat microwave popcorn, YUCK!! We have Amish that live all around the area, so I do know their items are of good quality. Whether or not this is true Amish popcorn, we may never know, but it really is good popcorn!! None of it is chewy at all!! It all pops up very well, crispy and just as it says on it's package. We have found that our favorite is the "Mushroom" popcorn. So, when I ordered more, I ordered a 6 pound bag of the "Mushroom" style, it's so big, fluffy, crispy, SO GOOD!!! My husband keeps calling it "Carmel corn" because that's what it reminds him of, because that's the kind they would use to make it. MMMM, now I'm hungry for popcorn!!!
Wonderful selection of popcorn
Great selection of different types of popcorn that would otherwise be hard to find. I like the sampler packet as it gives a good variety to test before buying a single type. Each pack made maybe 6-8 large bowls of popcorn (enough for 2-4 people depending on how you each popcorn). The mushroom and blue were my favourites.
