I ordered this with low expectations due to the low price. However, the order included not only the instrument, but also two spare batteries, a tool (miniature Philips screwdriver) to replace them, and a protective carrying case. The action is smooth and the readings are precise. I compared them with a few measurements against a Vernier caliper that I have. I appreciate that the electronics are water-resistant and that the LCD display is easy to read and it turns itself on automatically when I move the jaws and off automatically after a few minutes of inactivity. The fractional measurements are a bonus and they work well.

Really like this caliper. Solid, well built, and affordable. Ships with 3 batteries, one already installed. Holds 'zero' remarkably well unlike my HF cheaper version. Inches, metric, & fractions as also a bonus.Would love a Starrett but can't justify the expense for part-time hobby work. As a retired machinist...these will do nicely.

I don't write many reviews, but I have to rave about this. I'm not a machinist, or anything, so have no use for a Starrett or Mitutoyo level caliper. All these years, I've just been using Pittsburgh calipers from Harbor Freight because it meets my needs, but I've always been annoyed by the fact that I have to remove the batteries when not using it, or it eats the batteries (it doesn't fully turn off when it's set to off). The slide quality of the HF calipers are also subpar, requiring a lot a cleaning and light sanding to get it to slide just OK.This is a CRAZY deal for the quality, and it uses CR2032 batteries instead of the LR44 type the HR ones use - AND they give you 3 batteries to boot (1 in the caliper and 2 spares). It has some real heft to it, and the machining/quality blows the HF ones away. Most importantly, it is SMOOTH out of the box, requiring no additional work to make it decent to operate. It's such a great deal so I ordered another one because I'm always misplacing them because of my infrequent need.

I bought this pair of calipers to use in an industrial setting to measure various mechanical parts. The set is very well made and durable. It comes with extra batteries, and an adjustment tool as well in its case. I accidentally left these out and got a corrosive degreaser on them while cleaning a large shaft, which was the end of them. However, I did buy another set to replace them as I was so satisfied with them. They also seem to be very accurate with measurements.

Great Bit of Kit
I had always wondered, prior to being placed in a position where I needed such a device, why people own these things. As a motorbike owner, this little device has become invaluable to me, especially when adjusting the tension on my drive chain to ensure my rear wheel was aligned perfectly, right down to the millimetre. Brilliant job. I also have found it a God send for sizing specific bolts, again on my motorcycle, that had stripped threads and required replacing. This device allowed me to measure with great accuracy the specific dimensions of the bolts needed, as requested by specialist websites selling bolts of all shapes and sizes.It's very easy to use, the LCD display is clear and easily read, quality-wise it feels good in the hands, not at all flimsy, and has made so many tasks of maintenance on my bike a breeze. A very good purchase to my mind. Recommended.

Fácil de usar y si repite las medidas de lo mismo que mides aunque tarde un poco en dar el mismo valor, lo que mas me gusto es quen se prende solo cuando lo abres y te evitas precionar el boton de ON.Aunque para medir cuerdas de tornillo muy cortas y finas no es posible eria como de 1 mm en adelante
