This clear paste liquifies at room temperature and becomes a semi-solid again when immersed in cold water, repelling moisture from your dry flies or streamers. This floatant has a human odor scent mask.

Better than Gink as it leaves no oily residue flowing down the stream. US made and I got it for the same price. Gink is Chinese made and right now I want nothing to do with that government. That politically said, the stuff floats dry flies fine albeit that it's a little more viscus that Gink (i.e. it doesn't flow as smoothly) but the Hackle Armour Classic Dry Fly Dressing holds up better in hot weather for sure. If it is cooler outside I just put in a pocket next to my body early on, to get some heat into it, and then it works great right from the start. Also, I have yet to see an oil film around it when fishing in slower/still waters. I am not sure what that oil is or does but I am environmentally conscientious and don't want to be adding anything to our stream waters if I don't have to.I am never going back to Gink and believe that Hackle Armour Classic Dry Fly Dressing is the stuff that I'll be using for a long time.
