This thermometer does the job effectively, and I’ve found myself using it for almost everything in the kitchen. Whether I’m grilling salmon, roasting chicken, or checking the temperature of liquids, it provides accurate readings every time. The ambidextrous backlit display is a great feature, making it easy to read the temperature in any lighting condition.I will say that the manual was a bit confusing at first. It took me a little while to figure out all the features and settings, but once I got the hang of it, the thermometer became an indispensable tool in my kitchen. One thing I particularly appreciate is the motion-sensing feature that automatically turns the display on when you pick it up. It’s a small touch, but it adds to the convenience.I did notice that temperatures can fluctuate slightly, especially when measuring something over a longer period. However, the lock feature is fantastic for this—it allows you to hold the highest temperature reading without having to stare at the display the entire time. Overall, despite the minor learning curve, I really like this thermometer, and it’s become a go-to gadget in my cooking routine.

Bought this to replace a similar old thermometer. Only had it a week or so, but works as described. My only problem was putting in battery, it did not work. Then realized the battery had a plastic wrapper; wrapper had to be removed! Silly me. I use the thermometer almost daily when cooking meat. Also works well to check temps when canning jelly and jam.

I’ve had trouble w my last few meat thermometers. This one is exceptional. It reads temp quickly with large read-outs. I’ve not cooked a dry chicken breast since I got this. Yay!

These stick thermometers are great.Sick of guessing if your chicken is fully cooked only to find out it's still pink in the middle?Or if you're steak is medium and not medium rare?This little thing takes the guessing game out.Accurate. Easy to clean. Has a light for night time grilling. And quick to give a temp.Turns off once you close the probe back into the body.Magnetic to stick on fridge or grill body.Waterproof in case you forget it outside during a rainstorm.Now that I think of it ...I'm buying one for my neighbor who always under cooks his BBQ chicken.My only beef is mine came with a dead battery and didn't work out of the package. Luckily, I have plenty of rechargeable AAA batteries.
4.0 out of 5 stars Very Straightforward and Simple to Use, but Screw-on Battery Cover is Overkill!
This a simple but effective device which is supposedy waterproof. However, providing a small screw driver to access an unsealed battery compartment seems unecessary, when a simple clip cover would make battery replacement much easier. Although the sensor probe may be waterproof, the battery compartment of this device is not. The device body is not designed to be completely immersed in water, although it can be washed off either by wiping or running water. It is also not to be placed for any length of time within a BBQ! I does have a lot of nice features though, including virtually automatic measurement and delayed shut-off. And, as these things can drift over time, it has a simple calibration procedure anyone with ice and water can perform. All in all, if handled properly, it's a cost effective solution for safe cooking.

My former instant thermometer suddenly was an x-thermometer (it may have something to do with the Law of Entropy). So, when I found this one, which was a little more than the previous one I bought on Temu, I hesitated, but decided to give it a try after reading the fine reviews it received. The thermometer is better than I had imagined. It is larger, a nice bright color that makes it easy to find, the display is large, and it works great. Very satisfied. Highly recommended, unless you want to pay less for a device that will suddenly die on you unexpectedly that you can get on that “other” bargain website.

Been using this for a while now and I love it. Seems to be accurate with it's temp readings and you get them almost instantly. Screen readings flip based on how you are holding it. If left open the probe will turn itself off.

Great thermometer! When you see all the features and combine it with simplicity of operations, I think you’d be hard pressed to find anything better. Waterproof is nice for cleaning and using a simple AAA battery ensures that I most likely won’t get stuck without when needed the most. Auto-shutoff, lighting and hold features are great at this price.
