    The threads on this 1/2"x20 plug were a little rough. The outer edge of the thread was a little scratched, but that doesn't take the load, the flanks of the thread were good. The metric 12M I bought for the other vehicles seemed to be a little better quality craftsmanship. But nevertheless, it's still a good quality plug. Magnet is super strong. I didn't use the supplied crush washer, after reading the reviews. I used the UTSAUTO 12mm fiber sandwich crush washer sold here, but I had to ream it out with a 15/32" drill. You can read my review for them in their listing. So far no leaks.

    Works perfectly on bad threads. I ran a tap and the new plug screwed in perfectly. No cross thread. Like brand new on a 50 year old oil pan threads which had been crossed numerous times No leakage Easy to use

    Replacing a 1974 Ford Bronco oil pan plug. It fits 1/2 inch. The crush washer does not stay on, so don't lose it. The wrench size is different than the original 5/8 inch drive. This new one is a smaller drive. The oil pan plug appears to be very well machined and high quality. I have not filled the oil pan so I cannot comment on it's sealing ability.

    Super nice quality oil drain plug, the magnet is super strong, I recommend getting a different drain plug gasket due to the one it comes with doesn’t crush well.

    Way better than the cheap ones. Bought one at a local parts store and was cheaply made so I returned it. The magnet barely worked to hold anything. The magnetic on this unit was extremely strong for its size and the bolt was beefy. Now some will say its not worth the extra money to spend on a quality magnetic plug but I say why not?. To me its worth the extra $15 bucks if it can catch a few extra pieces of metal.
