5.0 out of 5 stars Works well; 18 blades (? underpowered). Charging could be better.
Bottom line is that it shaves as close and fast, maybe closer, than brand new blades and foils on my wired Braun. Including its incredible value, I give it 5 stars, a little reluctantly, because…Before shaving, powering it on, it seems less energetic than an electric toothbrush with a single AA battery. RPM seems slow, maybe 500–1000 RPM. But, even at 500 RPM, with nine blades per cutter, that’s a blade going under each slot 75 times per second. There may not be any reason to go faster. Subjectively, it seems that it should feel more powerful as the head seems well constructed, with head linked for a coordinated convexity and true floating action for each individual cutter. Once a shaver puts the cutter against the skin properly, the performance is really a function how well regularly replacement cutters work. It makes no sense to pay almost $300 for a super-premium razor when the performance really comes down to regularly replaced cutters.Out of the box, and regularly, needs a few drops of mineral oil on the blades. The PROs are overall performance and value. There are two CONs related to charging: 1) it says don’t charge over 10 hours to avoid damage, but charging should have protection circuits so that it can be left plugged in (preferably in a provided stand). 2) Although it’s convenient to charge with standard, available USB, as mentioned in another review, the cord is proprietary, instead of using a USB C connection. This means you have to keep track of the cord at all times when it would be far preferable to be able to just have the shaver charge on what is regularly at hand, USB charger with standard cables. Also, the protective cover should attach more securely. FYI: just blowing doesn’t really clean around the blades; they need to be removed and brushed, an easy time to re-lubricate.10/12/23: When I got replacement blades early, on sale, I noticed they only have a single ring, same as my original Phillips/Norelco. This razor, however, has two concentric rings, and each arm is Y shaped so that each arm has two blades, for a total of 18 each disc, instead of 9. Increased cutting area may be why it works well. When I looked into this further, I found another couple brands, well under $20, that have a USB-C connector, also 18 blades, and built-in pop-up trimmer, not separate attachment. This brand, Pritech, now offers a $15 version, with the more desirable USB-C connector and, remarkably, including a second head with three cutters. $15 for two sets of replacement cutters is a bargain, even disregarding the included razor!11/3/23: it seems that the screens are very prone to clogging, and I should backtrack on the advice to oil. Just a film of oil after disassembly to clean might be good, but putting drops of oil in the assembled head just accumulates sludge. Simply blowing to clean the head after use doesn’t work well. Now I’ll try flooding with water from the bottom and the top.
5.0 out of 5 stars Exceptional Shaving Experience with Great Features!
I recently purchased the Electric Razor for Men, and it has exceeded all my expectations. This rechargeable electric shaver is fantastic for both wet and dry shaving, making it incredibly versatile. The shaver's performance is impressive—it's smooth and efficient, providing a close shave without irritation. The waterproof feature is a major plus, allowing me to use it comfortably in the shower, and it cleans up easily under running water. The cordless design is incredibly convenient, and the rechargeable battery holds a charge well, ensuring I get plenty of use between charges. The ergonomic handle feels comfortable and provides a secure grip, which is perfect for precise shaving.Overall, this electric razor delivers an outstanding shaving experience with its advanced features and user-friendly design. It’s a top-notch product that I highly recommend to anyone in search of a reliable and efficient electric shaver!
4.0 out of 5 stars Nice
Considering the price and all that comes with it i thought this was going to be horrible. Wasnt really a risk to buy it as i could use the parts in other things. But surprisingly its a decent razor. I have used it three times since purchase a month ago. Not bad at all. The reason it doesnt get a full five star is the attachments. They snap in only one way and when i go to remove them it feels like im going to break the plastic before they release. Still, its a decent little razor.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent value: A close shave, useful attachments.
Brief review: Almost all PROs with only minor nitpicks. Overall: Happy I bought this shaver..PLUSES: - Charges quickly, holds the charge well: When it arrived it had 73% charge. It took less than 15 minutes to charge to 100%. After 3 shaves, plus testing the nose/ear hair trimmer and the sideburns attachment, it was at 96%.. - Shaves comfortably, with no “pulling” of whiskers and no neck irritation. Just about as close a shave as I get using a disposable double-edge razor. (I use it dry. No creams or water.). - The locking feature is nice. I can put this in my shaving kit when traveling and not be concerned that it will turn on when my checked bag is tossed about.. - The nose/ear hair trimmer actually seems to work well.. - Easy to clean. I brush out most of the whisker particles and then rinse the shaver head. Seems to clean it thoroughly.. - I appreciate the provided cover for the shaver head and the storage bag is very handy..NITPICKs: - The sideburn trimmer has a fixed length. I would have preferred to have an adjustable trimmer (such as the “combs” that some trimmers use for limiting the closeness of the trimmer). - The included storage bag is a bit too small. There's barely enough room to fit everything (including the charging cord and the attachments).
3.0 out of 5 stars Nice idea but poorly built.
It's a great idea to have the interchangeable accessories. The retaining clip that holds the accessories when they snap in and out broke off. This is a simple spring loaded mechanism. Once that little piece of plastic breaks, none of the heads will snap in. Renders the entire unit useless. I'd pay more for a unit of similar design utilizes metal parts instead of plastic.
5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic choice
My son has been using this electric razor for men for a while now, and I have to say it’s fantastic! It works even better than some of the expensive name-brand razors I’ve tried in the past. The shave is smooth, close, and leaves feels great. What really stands out is the price — it's incredibly affordable for the quality you’re getting. I purchase a new one every six months, and it's well worth it for the performance. Highly recommend this razor to anyone looking for a budget-friendly option that doesn’t compromise on quality!
