5.0 out of 5 stars Best bang for ur buck 144hz monitor.
The LG UltraGear 27GL83A-B has been a fantastic addition to my setup, and it honestly exceeded my expectations. The 27-inch screen with its vibrant colors and sharp resolution makes everything from gaming to regular use feel more immersive. The gameplay feels incredibly smooth, thanks to the fast response time, and the visuals pop in a way that makes my games come to life. I wasn’t expecting such high-quality performance at this price, but it delivers on every front. What really makes this monitor stand out is how much value it offers. It’s hard to find something that strikes a balance between great visuals, smooth gameplay, and a sleek design without breaking the bank. The overall build is sturdy, and the adjustable stand makes it comfortable for long sessions. If you’re looking for a monitor that offers top-notch performance without a high-end price tag, this one’s a winner.
5.0 out of 5 stars Exceptional display, especially at the price point
When I set out shopping for my secondary display (which was intended to function as a dedicated monitor hooked up to the EVGA RTX 3080 I was extraordinarily lucky to get my hands on not long after release. In this way, it would ideally need Nvidia-specific display rendering technology, but because my system was setup with dual GPUs, it also would ideally have robust support for AMD graphics too. Oh, I also wanted a display capable of 1440p resolution and 100+ Hz refresh rate.Needless to say this monitor checked all those boxes and then some! At the time I bought it perhaps two years ago it was much more expensive, but I think now that prices have come down, this monitor not only handles displaying a quality, vibrant picture with ease, but it does so fora fair price, too. Most people won't be using it as part of some complex dedicated VM setup, but honestly, thanks in no small part to the efforts of Steam's team along with games developers, gaming on Linux is a perfectly achievable endeavor as contrasted with ten or fifteen years ago. I've seen some folks saying the latest updates of Win 11 are more unstable than Linux, especially since it's trivial to find out if a game is Steam Deck Verified and therefore very likely to run fine on any distro (like SteamOS) built for gaming or by installing and configuring the appropriate tools yourself to make it happen.Anyways, Iove this monitor and would gladly buy more for other purposes if needed.
5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing 1440p Monitor
This LG Monitor has a very nice display and since upgrading from my old 1080p display - listed below, is one of the best decisions ever made, not only are images higher quality and performance on this LG 1440p and HDR/Nvidia G-SYNC compatible monitor, but what they say is true, the increased refresh rates and clearer image does indeed result in less visual related problems, and less migraine type headaches from stepping up to 1440p and I'm positive this would be the same with 4K or 8K displays and also higher refresh rates to speed up the times the image is refreshed resulting in less strain on eyes/brain. I have noticed a significant difference since going up to this LG 1440p display and if have solid top tier PC graphics card and other hardware, even recommend potentially stepping up to 4K or better if have a GPU like 3080/3090 or 4080/4090 that will perform well at 4K -- but this thus far in 30+ years of PC usage and gaming, is by far the best choice made to experience what its like at 1440p+ by far and not gonna lie, had no idea it would be that extremely good until I plugged it in and could see the difference in quality side by side - granted the 3 images above one is the LG 2560x1440p on left side while gaming and right side image is PC desktop wallpaper image in 1920x1080p, there still is a fairly noticeable difference, thus also why the right side image is smaller in size and not as clear as this LG monitor on the left and why I have included these just in case it helps.Note: The 3 images included - which I should mention are from Visions of Mana (Square Enix) game demo version, Valve/Steam platform and EVGA 3060 XC 12gb GPU and I do not own the rights to, image on right side, is captured from secondary monitor and XFX RX 570 XXX Edition 8gb GPU - image is a free Microsoft provided "Windows Spotlight" and also do not own any rights or credit from the above, but plainly just for reference - also image on left is the 1440p LG27GL83A-B and image on right is 1080p on VISIO d40f-g9 40" TV used for my secondary monitor.
5.0 out of 5 stars A great inexpensive gaming monitor
I purchased this to go with my old backup gaming PC which lives at my parents' home a few hours away. I needed something that worked with m old NVidia GTX 960 card. I wanted something on the larger side, with G-Sync, a Display Port, a faster refresh rate, and a resolution better than my ancient backup 1920 x 1080 monitor. Mostly I wanted something cheap, which is very difficult to find with my requirements! This nice LG monitor popped up in my filtered search on Bolo and it was such a great deal (especially on Black Friday) that I couldn't pass it up. It works great, with a nice refresh rate of 144 Hz and a resolution of 2560 x 1440. I've tried most of my games including Final Fantasy XIV and World of Warcraft and I'm getting very good performance. My only quibble is that it has a fairly prominent bezel and I am used to a bezel-free look on my home monitor. Additionally, it looks mildly convex in shape. These are minor quibbles for the price and quality, and I'm very impressed with both as well as the ease of setup. Definitely make sure to install the proper ICC profile and you will be happy with this nice gaming monitor for years to come.
4.0 out of 5 stars Worth the buy (no integrated speaker)
This is probably the best gaming monitor I have ever bought and I cans say that it has lived up to its hype, while it provides a good refresh rate and size, and at a fair price!, the only flaw that this monitor has is that fact that it comes with no integrated speaker, for sole this is no problem but at this price I feel like it should be included. Other than that the design is great and would only say that it does not have many orientation options with the stand. Love it and will use it for many years to come tho.
Excelente calidad y precio.
Excellent curved gaming monitor
I recently purchased this UltraGear monitor for gaming and couldn't be happier with my decision. The screen quality is fantastic. Also, the high refresh rate and quick response time provide smooth gameplay with no noticeable lag.For the quality it offers at this price point, it’s a fantastic deal.
Colores vibrantes 10/10
The media could not be loaded.
amazing for gaming and movie
BEFORE BUYING: Make sure you get a graphic card for displayport 1.4 and a wire for displayport 1.4 if you try use the hdmi or use the cheap wire they give you is a waste of fps, It come well packed but the screen was very dirty like somebody tried to wash it very very bad but after i clean up it was perfect (not a big deal) For gaming is perfect but you have to adjust it, If you work on photography is not a screen for this because there a anti-flare on screen it make a small texture of grain film on the white, Color are pretty good amazing, IF YOU BUY THIS FOR GAMING 1440p (2k) at 144 fps KEEP IN MIND YOUR GRAPHIC CARD HAVE TO BE ABLE TO HANDLE THIS, a 3060 can handle it but not in ultra to AAA recent game, here setting:Game mode: gamer 1Game adjust: Adaptice-sync on, black stabilizier 55, response time:fast,Picture adjust: brightness:80 (if over years it dimm you can raise it later), contrast: 70, sharpness 70, Gama: mode 2, Color temp custom, r/g/b 50 50 50, six color all 50, dfc: off,Input list: Display port, aspect ratio: full wide, auto input switch:onGeneral: Smart energy saving: off, Display version 1.4 (i have 1.4 wire + gpu card), osd lock: off,In window setting display make *change the size of text* to 125%For movie: 10/10For gaming: 10/10For photoshop/editing: 3/10 (anti-flare grain + color too good)View angle: very goodThe text and little image are very very sharp.EDIT 3 month later: I love it a lot, i want buy a 2nd one its sooo good. It also pretty good watching movie/streamer in dark place we can see stuff in the dark other monitor cant see without ruin setting. i fall in love with this monitor.EDIT 9 month later: 0 problem still awesome, the only issue was from a display port cable on 2nd screen it was flashing image but replace the cable and everything good. *IF YOU HAVE A BAD CABLE OR BROKEN CABLE THE IMAGE WILL TURN OFF/ON RANDOM*
Best 1440p gaming monitor on the market.
I was a bit sceptical to buy this monitor since I’ve always played on tn panels for the faster response times and no glow. So I did a lot of research on this monitor and decided to go for it. I can honestly say I’m completely satisfied with it. The picture quality is amazing, and I got practically no glow what so ever. The only downside of the monitor is that the hdr isn’t very good, but that’s expected since 99% of monitors that say they have hdr don’t have true hdr. So I wouldn’t buy this monitor expecting that feature to carry the product. The difference between 1080p and 1440p is huge, it may not seem like much but you’ll notice it immediately, as for the responds time it says 1ms! When it’s actually 4. But here’s the thing, almost all monitors that say they have a 1ms actually don’t, they range from 4 and up. It can technically hit 1ms if you put it on the “fastest” setting but it causes a lot of ghosting and tearing. So use the “faster” setting. I play competitive shooters and it feels like it has the exact same not if better response time as my previous monitors.Overall this is the best Ips 1440p monitor on the market. If you want the beautiful colours of an IPS and response times of a tn get this monitor. If your still on the fence watch “Hardware Unboxed” on YouTube, he reviewed the 27GL850. Witch is the exact same thing as the GL2783A-B, only difference is one has nano IPS and the other doesn’t. Which in my eyes isn’t worth the extra 1-200 dollars.(In the review he will say it’s contrast isn’t the best, but I’ve honestly had no issues with black looking black or whites looking white. And just because I got low IPS glow it doesn’t mean you will, buying a monitor is like winning the lottery, you’ll never know what you get, but if you get a bad one you can always send the monitor back for a new one as many times as you need to in the first 30 days. I got the GL2783A-B
