5.0 out of 5 stars This is the one_better than the expensive one

Bought this for my uber creative teen who used to make everyone beanies by hand. So much love and effort would go into them. Enter this awesome piece of equipment! Now we get to be creative with multiple threads and designs, and the beanies are beautifully done in a flash. To be clear this isn't professional use but I don't see why it couldn't be for those who desire that.I read previous reviews about the suction to the work surface and found that to be accurate, it doesn't provide great suction, however, it really doesn't need to, and has been working out so great without it.The savings you get vs. the expensive one of those will give you room to rig your own stabilizer.I will also mention that I bought a motorized adapter so there would have been no need to crank it but when we tested both, hand cranking it was easier and offers more control so you don't skip stitches, and get to enjoy it more, so I recommend just buying this as is.I highly HIGHLY recommend this, rarely do you get such a bang for the buck in creativity, fun, and making gifts that have been a hit for anyone who receive one.

I love this this machine. This thing is amazing. I should've ordered sooner. They only problem was the row counter stopped working correctly midway they the 3rd hat. I ordered a magnetic row counter to add to it. I would suggest ordering the magnetic row counter with the sentro if u get 1.

This takes some practice to use. The machine is finicky as it does not like all brands of yarn and will not accept bulky types. The row counter gives out quickly, so I bought an attachment which has worked great. I set the machine on a plastic cake tray and the suction feet keep it from wobbling.

I bought the Sentro knitting machine for my brother because he loves to knit and its become his new favorite tool! He's been using it for a few months now and loves how easy it is to operate. The machine allows him to create beautiful projects quickly. It's sturdy and well-designed, making it perfect for both beginners and experienced knitters. Highly recommend this knitting machine because of it’s ease and efficiency!

1.0 out of 5 stars Broke after 10 hats.

    d. · October 31, 2023

The media could not be loaded. I have had the machine since 10/17 and have used it to make about 10 hats. It is 10/30. When it works, it makes beautiful beanies. When it doesn't, it makes horrible sounds and dropped stitches. As I am currently in the middle of another beanie, it is difficult to crank (to the point that I feel like it's breaking as I use it), the counter is not working as it should (being in between numbers and maaaybe sometimes deciding it wants to work) and not suctioning to any surface. For a nearly 80 dollar machine (that I purchased for ~55 during October's prime day), you would think that it could make more than 10 hats. I wish it wouldn't be so weak because it's such a cool machine. It's so easy to use, especially with the vast amount of tutorials on YouTube. But, unfortunately, I might just have a defective one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Machine works perfectly. Any issues Ive had have always been human error.

    k. · April 2, 2021

So honestly Ive been looking into getting one of these for a good while but every single one of them had poor reviews or actually valid complaints and to be honest I was worried about getting a peice of garbage. But it works great in the last month Ive had it. Ive made over 20 hats and other products with it and not had any issues other than ones Ive caused myself. Honestly the only complaint I have is its not super sturdy but even thats not been a big deal and has had 0 impact on the product and how it works. Yeah it drops stitches now and then but Ive found its always, always been my own error/ stupidity due to using the wrong tension or accidentally missing weaving the yarn in and out at the start and not the machines fault. A tip Ive found for people who eventually buy this is to use the middle tension most. It works the best while the other tensions are most likely to drop stiches and for the loosest tension I found I dont care much for how loose the yarn woven gets to be for my specific projects but Im sure others may like the look more than me as there isnt really anything wrong with it. My last tip is watch for the first 10 rows very closely as if you go to fast or crazy it will drop stiches so just keep a steady pace and treat the machine well and it works perfectly.

2.0 out of 5 stars Cheaply made

    O.B.P. · July 28, 2024

I really wanted to love this machine. I normally make stuff by hand but thought I’d give this a try as I need to make beanies and some scarves for a homeless outreach project. It’s on the cheaper end so I decided to buy this one rather than the Addi. I figured incorrectly that it would hold up to occasional use. The whole body of this is plastic and it’s very wobbly. I found myself straining to keep it in place even with the use of the suction cups. You have to have a hand on this thing while you’re turning the cranky which is also wobbly. There’s a learning curve on the tension end of this also. But it didn’t really seem to matter after a while what I did. Was able to make a couple of items with some slipped stitches, which I fixed manually, but after a while with the same yarn and tension, it just kept getting worse. I finally just gave up and returned it to buy a more expensive machine. It’s cool in theory but I wouldn’t bother if you want something that will last. Buy the more expensive machine otherwise you will just rip your hair out trying to get this one to work.

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed

    S. · March 2, 2024

Was very disappointed to find out that it is not compatible with most yarn. Jumps stitches constant. The gears stick constantly and the suction cups don’t stick to certain materials so you have to hold on to it.

Runs smoothly, makes a great knit fabric.

    j. · February 25, 2021

Its only been a few days but the machine runs very smoothly and the knit fabrics are coming out great. Easy to follow instructions. Feels sturdily made. Even comes with a tiny screwdriver to screw the legs to the base with. The 48 pin makes a great adult sized hat
