5.0 out of 5 stars Great deal on a highly bioavailable form of magnesium!
I've had a hard time finding a budget friendly source of Magnesium Glycinate. These appear to be great. I've only taken them a few days but my sleep has been as good as before when using a much more expensive product. The pill size is not all that unusually large for a supplement tablet. Yes they're on the large side, but I have some tablets in my daily routine that are even larger. At this price it would be worth the trouble to cut them in half if you have a problem. I hope Bolo continues to come out with budget friendly quality supplements.
5.0 out of 5 stars They Are Big
I don't have any trouble swallowing them. I usually get Pure Encapulations. These are 1/4 the price. I don't know good they are.
4.0 out of 5 stars Seems good. Label could be more explicit.
I take 3 for 400 mg magnesium and I get no diarrhea from it, so, assuming the potency is labeled honestly, it really is glycinate and not oxide with a "blessing" of glycine. I'd prefer the label was a little more precise in describing the exact substance (look at Now's magnesium glycinate for an example of how it ought to be done). I'd give if 5 stars if they did that better, but this seems to be the real deal.
5.0 out of 5 stars The capsules are HUGE!
These do just fine as long as you don't have a hard time swallowing pills. If you do, these are definitely not for you. I don't normally have a hard time but these seem like they get "stuck" somewhere along the way and just hang there no matter how much water I drink with them. Kinda painful sometimes- other times just annoying. I probably won't buy these again.
5.0 out of 5 stars Yes, they are large
These pills are very large. I break them in half and don’t even have to use a fancy pill splitter. I just break them in half and they are much easier to swallow. You don’t even have to put a lot of effort into breaking them. It’s extremely easy. Other than that, they are exactly what was expected and promised.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great value!
Great supplement! Great value!
3.0 out of 5 stars Enormous pills
The pills work but they’re almost impossible to swallow. They’re huge. They’re almost too big to cut with a pill cutter. Even cut in half they hurt my throat.
5.0 out of 5 stars Best tolerated magnesium I've tried
So PCP are worthless anymore and overpaid. I have been complaining for a long time that I don't absorb potassium well and have a lot of issues with that and think I need magnesium and not one of them suggested chelated magnesium glycinate to me. Most insurances only cover citrate or oxide, so PCPs only seen to know what pharma meds to push on us... I brought up to my PCP that I didn't tolerate oxide well. Her suggestion was to take it at bedtime! Which then has me running to the bathroom at 2:30 am. And when you wear a CPAP mask also, that becomes really upsetting. Plus how can I absorb potassium better if I'm constantly depleted of it from IBS?I then found out from a Facebook Reel about the other forms of magnesium that my PCP didn't tell me to try. She just gave up and didn't care. Did her bare minimum. I tried out magnesium l-threonate and it did great, but if I missed a day I had bad withdrawal symptoms. Come to find out that the dose was way too high. So I had to withdrawal from it and stop taking because most of the L-threonate comes in doses higher than what you're supposed to have daily.Point being I finally got to trying out magnesium glycinate. I tried regular ones first and I was still getting muscle cramps in my feet and my blood pressure wasn't regulating well. Once I switched to this chelated type my BP has been getting lower and lower along with taking a daily potassium supplement that has a little extra magnesium oxide in it as well. I might be able to eventually get off BP meds with eating low histamine and taking the magnesium and potassium daily. Sad thing is PCPs won't tell you about this. They only know how to push the money makers for them onto you that have bad side effects. Especially when used long term. These are a bit bigger than I'm used to, but I seen to swallow them fine in the morning. I even use a CPAP machine at night so have dry mouth in the am when I take my meds and I'm fine. But you could always use a pill cutter to cut into halves to help.
