Kick stands start sturdy but wimp out in a month or two. This is great and not attached to the phone. Which is good, because I don't need it ALL the time. When not in use, it folds neatly away. The curved bottom edge accomodates any sized smartphone because the curve extends up high. Even my ginormous s23 ultra. I like that it stays on whatever angle you put it on. Lightweight and compact. Just gotta turn phone to landscape position to charge. Does the job. No fancy bells and whistles which is nice. Products that try to be overly versatile often don't do anything well. This one has a singular purpose, and performs it well.

The media could not be loaded. Sometimes it’s all about the little things LOL! And this is great!!! Perfect for holding my phone upright on my desk for calls and FaceTime etc. Excellent value, very sturdy, cool non-slip grip strip underneath so it won’t side. Cool little gadget that will be very helpful!

The 'phone stand' version works well for Cell Phones and Large Tablets; consider that if you don't wish to buy the larger 'tablet' one. The stand will 'click' into place and it feels like it can hold heavier and thicker tablets than the 10 Inch Samsung Tab5 that is pictured. I plan on using this mostly on an airplane, there are small rubber feet on this so I expect it to not slide around. Perhaps the next generation of this can have a spring mechanism instead of the 'clicks'.

UGREEN Cell Phone stand:I wanted a phone stand that would hold my phone upright vertically w/out tipping over if I needed to use the screen on my phone. This stand seemed the least less likely to tip over.I’ve had this stand for a few weeks now and my phone has not tipped over when using it. This stand works well for what I needed it to do.My phone w/ its case does not fit into the crevice the phone is supposed to fit into, I have an iPhone XS w/ an Otter Box case. My phone sits on top of the crevice (I would have included a pic but I can’t figure out how to w/out giving Bolo full access to my pics and videos). The phone sitting on top of the crevice actually makes it work out better I think, my phones speakers aren’t muffled by sitting on the bottom of the crevice (which I saw some ppl mention in their reviews).I haven’t tried the stand to make a call or face time, but I’m assuming it would work fine w/ my phones speakers and mic sitting above the crevice. If my phone fit in the crevice like it’s supposed to, I could see that being a problem and muffling sounds both ways, esp the mic part since there is only one mic at the bottom of my phone.It is a little frustrating you can’t charge the phone in the stand, which I knew going in and didn’t think would bother me, but turns out that part is pretty inconvenient. My phone is old and the battery ain’t what it used to be, needs to be charged often.This stand doesn’t work great w/ my IPad 9th gen. It’s not sturdy enough to use the iPad screen while it’s in the stand. My iPad w/case sits nice in the crevice, but when using the touch screen, I have to press super super light or the stand expands fully open tilting my iPad back. I didn’t buy this stand for iPad use but it would have been nice if it was functional w/ my iPad.Overall, this phone stand holds my phone vertically w/out tipping over. Again, my phone doesn’t fit in the crevice so my speakers and mic aren’t muffled. For under $9, I’m overall satisfied w/ the phone stand to hold my phone.
