I have been searching for a new lip stain since Bolo doesnt sell the other one i used to use anymore, and have wasted so much money trying to find a replacement for the tattoo lip stain orange color (the qtips in a carton). Well I finally found it. It doesnt stay on as long if you're eating but if you are not eating it stays on for a long time, way longer than the other ones i have tried. And i like that it actually stains because its water based, where as other ones are thicker and can be wiped off easily and dont soak in.Its nice and thin, stains well, stays on, and tastes like candy lol. Some people mention they dont like the brush applicator but i actually like it a lot because it makes sense. It looks like a nail polish brush and it goes on with the same concept of nail polish- you want to apply thin layers and have each layer fully dry before applying more to get a deeper color. One thick layer is going to take forever to dry. Usually 2 or 3 coats is perfect.I have been using this for more than a month and am going to buy more colors now. Im obsessed.

This company makes wonderful products. I love how this water applies and how it feels. I wish the color was a deeper wine. The more I apply it gets a little darker, but also stickier.I apply it as instructed on their vid, and brush it on in downward strokes on the upper lip. I first trace the lip line to kinda add the liner affect. The color has a nice taste unlike many lip colors, and stays on pretty well.

I LOVE this product. I reach for it almost every day. I apply, let dry for a minute, wipe off, and I’m left with lasting subtle color for the entire day. My only issue with this product is the applicator. It’s a stiff brush almost like a nail polish brush? A foam applicator would have worked better in my opinion.

Wasn’t sure at first..a little tricky to apply ( I agree with another viewer..a foam applicator might be easier) but after wearing it, I love it. I love the color, I love how it wears, I love how it doesn’t dry my lips out…it’s a win for me! Red polish is tricky to get right but this one works for me! I lightly line it with a lip liner after application. ..I’m ordering another one to put in my purse.

I wouldn't purchase this product again. I like the brush applicator but the stain doesn't stay on long! I did three layers of application and the color was gone in 1 hour!!! I had to re-apply several times and the color didn't get deeper it was a very light stain and it was the violet shade. This product may work better on lighter lips but for dark brown lips this is a waste of money. I don't recommend it, it has no lasting color and no brilliance and terrible taste!

I have used the slip stain for years. I love putting a little bit on before I apply my other lipstick. This way when my lipstick or lipgloss wears off, I still have color on my lips underneath.

This product is water based, and comes with a brush attachment, not a sponge. The color is vivid and beautiful. I really wanted to love this product - and payed a premium price for it - but I am going to return it. I found it difficult to apply and work with. Could be just me because Clarins is a wonderful cosmetic line.
