4.0 out of 5 stars Nice Cable Raceway, Needs some help to stay in place
The Micro Plus Cable Raceway worked well for me to run wire to overhead Atmos speakers without running wire behind walls or ceiling. The appearance is nice, beige version blends very well with my beige wall paint. Very easy to install, and trim to fit. My only issue was that after installation every section came loose after a few days, although the sticky tape on the base still had plenty of grip. Might be due to temperature cycling or vibration. I fixed the issue by driving two small finishing nails through the base of every section, and all have stayed in place since that fix.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works for us
The half-round profile blends in with baseboards very nicely, if you happen to need them there. If you were looking at them from a distance, they could both appear as a single, original moulding. When looking through reviews, there seemed to be a mix of people saying the adhesive was either too strong or a bit weak.I considered using some known 3M adhesives to sidestep either issue. However, I had completely forgotten about this until I had already started installing them. The units I received definitely had very strong adhesives, to the extent that they will certainly remove paint should they need to be removed. In our case, they are being run along the top of baseboards and this strength is far preferable anyway. This is in an area where there is a lot of movement and anything not strong would be worse long-term and there is no intention to move them around. Worse case scenario, touch-ups are not hard to do. However, if one may not be entirely sure about placement; it would be advisable to use a known, non-damaging adhesive temporarily or permanently. So far, I’ve not made use of the connector bits. Instead of using the straight couplers, I just left small gaps for future access. I only had one corner in the installation, but did not want to bend the coax cable enough to use the 90° coupler. The looks in these spots were not of concern anyway.I can see how these pieces would be cause for frustration if you are planning to need them, though. They fit loose and feel like they would easily come off. Was not a concern for us though.I’d buy again if needed.
5.0 out of 5 stars Cord hide
Looks great and easy to install
5.0 out of 5 stars Works well, adhesive is strong, can accommodate a heavy-duty extension cord, though a tight fit.
I used it to hide an extension cord for my new Toto washlet. Works as advertised. I did need to use a mallet to close the cord hider once the extension cord was in place. I had to remove one piece because it wasn't placed correctly. A wallpaper scraper and careful prying removed it, then scraped off the adhesive. Adhesive is very strong.
3.0 out of 5 stars Not great but small profile size is good
Bought this micro raceway kit to help conceal the single wires for rear satellite speakers that are part of my TV's surround sound system. I did not like seeing the exposed wires running up the wall to the speakers so this micro size worked great for their concealment but there are drawbacks with this product. The adhesive strips on the back of the conduit pieces were sticky in some areas and held to the wall but in some places not sticky enough so it caused it to bow out in places. Then in some areas it was so sticky that if you did not place it how you wanted it then it could not be adjusted so be sure to check the placement as you remove protective film on the backs of pipe runs. The flat 90 elbow fittings that I used did not lock well on the pipe runs and would not stay flush against the wall and they would fall off easily so I had to use clear scotch tape to make sure they stayed flush and on. Installation is easy and the run pieces can be cut to length with a hacksaw and they are paintable so that is nice but 2.5 stars at best overall is more realistic.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great for cables running to the TV
My home already had a hole in the wall with a plate on top of it that was designed to run power cables and the like from a built-in wall shelf to the floor and keep this hidden from view. Problem was that I could not get any more cables into the hole because it was completely full and I had one more cable (range extender for streaming TV) to run down to the floor. So I bought this tube in beige because my walls were beige to hold the cable so you didn't see a black cable running down the wall like a snake. The tube is very effective for consolidating cables and keeping them out of sight. I have another one on the underside of my desk top that I use to hide cables there. The tube can be opened so there is no need to thread you power cables through the length of the tube. Instead, you merely open the tube, place the cable(s) inside the tube, then snap it shut. It locks itself but can be opened again and again to insert or remove cables. Very nice solution, particularly for those of you with TVs mounted on the wall and you are trying to figure out how to run the cable(s) to and from there without looking bad.One word of caution. Take time in advance to think through how many cables you plan to run through the tube and how thick the cables are. Make some measurements if needed. This company sells the tubes in several sizes to accommodate different numbers of cables. So plan ahead and order the size that you need. It's a great product and I think the adhesive will last a very long time.
Sturdy and Stylish
easy to cut and sticks great, looks great
Nice, strong, and tacky
It takes a good sharp serrated box cutter to cut these to length, so no need to worry about strength.Make sure you position the strip right and where you want it, AND clean the wall where the tape is contacting or use anchor screws through the inside every couple lengths if it's a permanent install or the cables have weight or overhead. They are hinged on the same side to accommodate the links to join the strips, but the links aren't bidirectional, so do a dry run first before removing the backing of the tape and pushing it in place, as the adhesive tape will probably rip the paint if you pull it off if you already pushed it into place.Only time will tell for longevity of the adhesive pad, but if it's as good as the 3M brand, it'll be there a long time without releasing.
Crazy strong adhesive.
I should have done this earlier, as that extension cord was an eyesore for far too long (photo). But I didn't want to use a bunch of short pieces of cord concealer end to end. It's all pretty straightforward if you measure carefully, cut carefully (maybe file done the rough edges after cutting), and clean the surfaces well. And THEN be extremely carefully once you've removed the tape from the sticky side of the cover: the adhesive is extremely strong and unforgiving. Do not think for a second that you can wiggle it into position if you don't get it on straight. Vast improvement.
I love how clean and neat it looks
This is by far the best cable concealer cord cover, I've ever bought!! It is very easy to use, and looks beautiful and blends into the baseboards. It was very easy to cut with a hacksaw. So simple. It has a smooth round look to it vs. the square ugly ones. Just be careful with the adhesive on the back, I found it to be super super sticky. Once you place it, it isn't coming off. So know where exactly you're going to put it. I wish they would make available the corner covers in a set like this set.
Very nice product.
The stars say it all. very easy to install and makes a big difference in hiding a lot of wires. If you feel adhesion is not sufficient, you could drill a couple of small holes to re-enforce the product.Fantastic!Thanks.
