The light in my tank would not work with the batteries so i bought this and it’s awesome. Works perfect and will save you money on batteries! Lights do add heat to the tank so make sure you have a thermostat in the fish tank water so the water doesn’t overheat. That’s normal with lights, it’s not just this one. This is a great accessory for the light! A must have!

It works great, but….You could just use an old phone charger as long as the amperage rating on the charger is the same or greater.

It's just a regular phone charger I know I mean it's something that you wouldn't have to purchase something you don't need to buy snowed after that everybody has in the house so it's not a necessity to have but it's pretty I mean it's for using it but they could say that it's not necessary to buy but $13 was kind of
