This adjustable Step2Bed was purchased as a gift for my Dad, who had recently gone through major gastrointestinal surgery, and was in need of a helpful method of gently stepping up to [and down from] his elevated bed. Prior to his release from medical care, I researched and compared the benefits of each every step offered through Bolo, and chose Step2Bed for several reasons:* The solid metal handrails, wide metal platform, and solid metal, rubber-covered leg bottoms, which would provide stability and reassurance to my Dad (that he would not easily lose his balance, and that the step would not slide on the hardwood flooring).* The varying height, sturdy handrails on either end of the wide platform meant that this platform could be placed on either side of Dad's bed, and he would not risk damaging the fragile skin of his legs, when swinging his legs onto [or off of] his bed, yet maintain a firm grasp on the taller handrail for support.* The adjustability of the platform height. My sister and I assembled the Step2Bed in very short order given the simple instructions (which were a breeze!), and when Dad returned home from the rehabilitation center, he asked that the platform be adjusted just slightly higher ~ We elevated the platform in less than five minutes!* The motion-sensing platform light. This was a big selling point for me, as Dad's safety is of great concern to our family. When Dad walks into his room, the motion-sensing light turns on, providing coverage of the wide platform and floor beyond. During Dad's healing process, this motion sensing light provides him with the assurance of being able to maneuver his walker into the room to reach the light switch without tripping. Further, the light is an invaluable safety asset, for the sudden, middle-of-the-night trip to the bathroom, and safely returning to his bed. For our Dad, as independent as he has always been, Step2Bed now provides him with a very safe means of maintaining his independence for the most basic of mobility issues: Getting in and out of bed safely. He will rid himself of the walker once he regains his strength, but I have absolutely no doubt that his Step2Bed is staying right by his bed for everyday / everynight use!Step2Bed is one of the best products I have found to fit this critical need, and I cannot speak highly enough as to it's thoughtful construction. Very sturdy, easy to assemble with two tools, a screwdriver and a ratchet wrench. I added the cane holder and use it to hold a grabber, and I also added the pouch which I used to hold two remotes iand my cell phone. It’s bigger than I expected. I like the motion detector light

My 80 year old husband has Parkinson’s and was no longer able to climb into our high bed. With this step he can safely get in and out of bed by himself. The step and rails are easy to reach and very sturdy. It’s very stable on the floor. It has a bright light that automatically lights up the step and the floor in front of the step when he gets near the step or when getting out of bed. I don’t have to worry when he uses the bathroom at night. I have also bought a bright motion sensor light for the bathroom so his pathway is lighted all the way. During the day I move the step around the other side of the bed where it is out of sight. I bought 4 furniture mover discs, one under each leg of the step. The step easily glides where I want it to go. When my husband uses the step at night, I remove the two front discs so that the step doesn’t move when he uses it. This step has been worth every penny! We’ve had it for more than two years now and it still looks new. We just replaced the batteries in the light for the third time so the batteries last a long time.

My husband recently fell and fractured is right shoulder. This step is vey helpful for him to get into bed since he currently only has the use of one arm. I like that it has a motion light. This is very helpful for him when he needs to use the bathroom at night. And the Velcro attachments are wonderful in keeping the step secure and non sliding. My only regret is that the handles are two different sizes. Since, at the moment, he only has one good arm, he has to turn himself around on the base so his good arm gets the support to move in and out of the bed.

I returned this because the bed wasn't as high as I thought and my mom didn't need this, but it sure is a great product and very sturdy. The motion light that comes with it is very helpful. Very easy return process as well.

This product is easy to assemble, sturdy, and invaluable. My husband has mobility, and it was impossible for him to get into our bed that is high. The Step2 Bed Rail, which is strapped to the bed rail, provides him easy and safe access.

This has been a game changer for my elderly (91 years old) mother--especially as a shorter person (4'11"). She previously had difficulty getting into and out of her bed and fell/slipped a few times; she now no longer has issues and is much more confident getting into and out of bed. Note: the light has started to dim a couple months in so I swapped out a battery or two and light is bright again. Best to buy one of those 36-packs or whatever of batteries so you don't have to worry about the light. Very easy to swap out a battery. Thank you for this great piece of equipment. (P.S. I weigh 200-210 lbs and it easily supported me, too, FYI.)

This bedside step was easy to assemble and made getting in and out of bed easier and more secure with the handles. The step felt very sturdy and didn't wobble at all.
Very usable design and sturdy build quality
The senior this was purchased for used it within an hour of setup to climb into the bed (which she hasn't used at all this year) and take a 3 hour nap.
Amazing product with amazing Customer Service.
The customer service and product this seller provides is outstanding. First of all it is shipped out of USA and coming to Canada will result in extra charges but well worth it. My mother after her surgery could not get into her own bed and was sleeping in the living room on a day bed due to the height of her bed upstairs. This simple but clever product allows her to be able to safely climb in and out of bed. It is well designed product to the finest detail. Like having 1 rail lower so you can swing your legs in. On top of the product being amazing their customer service is amazing too. The product was damaged when arrived and after providing the evidence the seller shipped out another replacement with no additional cost. I was getting ready for a battle when I received the original shipment but the seller made it right without it being a battle. With this product and seller you can’t go wrong. My mother now sleeps in her own bed this product is worth every penny. If I can I would give this product 10 stars. Thank you again.
Safety First
My wife really likes is the extra wide step (grip) and padded handrail, however it is the motion activated light to see clearly at night that impresses her most. The only thing better in her opinion would be if the other handle was high enough for a two handed grip, but slopping down low so her feet do not hit the rail when getting in/out of bed. Great product would highly recommend, even with the Duties/Taxes ($115 Cdn) requiored to import to Canada.
Very smart solution for seniors.
This is a well designed solution for seniors or those with mobility issue who need help getting in and out of bed. It is sturdy, well built and my parents love it. My 84 year old mother was able to return to her own new bed with my father safely. Her physiotherapist commented on it. It would get a full five stars but there were no assembly instructions... I found some online and it was fairly straightforward. Great product!
Very Sturdy!
Great step for anyone having troubles with balance and getting in and out of bed.Just as a FYI, if you are ordering into Canada you will pay duty. Unfortunately I couldn’t find anything of this quality in Canada.
