After a night of debauchery, veteran Mat Best (Not A War Story) wakes up to an interrogation by his lawyer (William Shatner, Star Trek). While he and his four military buddies are in prison, they learn that a Zombie apocalypse arrived while they were passed out. Armed only with billy clubs and their military experience, they stage an all-out war on the Zombies and, by accident, may have found the cure along the way. Their boss Colonel Holloway (Keith David, The Nice Guys) informs them that the only place they can synthesize the cure is Range 15, an isolated facility some 300 miles away, through a Zombie-infested desert. Colonel Holloway sends narcissist super-soldier Gene Vandenham (Ross Patterson, Not a War Story) to lead the mission, and Pilot Grigsby (Sean Astin, The Lord of the Rings) to help as the Zombies (Danny Trejo, Machete) get faster every hour.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliantly Stupid, Awful, Perverted, Zombie Parody
I know I lost some brain cells watching this movie. The only things that could have made this movie better are: 1) if it was a musical (i.e. Rocky Horror Picture Show) or, 2) about 5 shots of tequila. Another reviewer said, “It's like the NRA gave $20 to amateur porn actors and told them to make a zombie parody.” Absolutely true, and how did Mat Best NOT include a human on zombie gay sex orgy. Missed opportunity, Mat. Honestly, this movie had everything I love: guns, juvenile bro dude humor, idiotic porn jokes, guns, spoofed one-dimensional military stereotypes, terrible sex scenes, infantile penis jokes, guns, raunchy gay sex jokes, and a multitude of creative, inventive, new ways to use the F word. I took notes.Range 15 is just really stupid bad, which is probably why I loved it so much. It is a ridiculous, horrible, tacky, offensive, disrespectful, disgusting, sexist, juvenile, zero class, trash movie with a slew of bad acting, bad effects, bad story, bad audio, corny cameos and a whole lot of really funny, idiotic jokes. Even the bestiality and misogyny jokes were funny. What a relief to watch a movie that I could laugh at and not be virtue lectured about social justice by some moron in Hollywood. I couldn't help but watch the whole thing to the end, like watching a train wreck. Now I know what I’m giving my kids for Christmas. They’re going to love this movie.
5.0 out of 5 stars The best movie ever
One of the greatest of its time
5.0 out of 5 stars Funny as HELL!! Enjoy it for what it is!
I can't remember when I've laughed so hard! MY FACE HURTS!!!!! The writing was surprisingly awesome! The chemistry was also phenomenal between these guys. It's a good look inside of how these guys blow off steam and relate to each other, and the creativity and artistry that exists there too! Boys with toys and creative imaginations make a movie! Besides the incredible humorous writing, I have to say overall it's one of the best zombie apocalypse movies I've seen in a long time! Watching Walking Dead, you would think humans had never evolved from apes given their ability to create a weapon system over 6 inches long! This is actually what one would pretty much look like, at least in the USA! My only suggestion is, if some of these guys are going to keep acting, a few classes wouldn't hurt them. The disparity between the pros and the rookies was glaring. However, taking it for what is was, I thoroughly enjoyed every second of the film, and will be watching it again!!! Haven't laughed that hard at one of Hollywood's best, most expensively produced comedies in YEARS!!! KEEP UP THE QUALITY F&KN AROUND!!! It's actually pretty creative and hilarious stuff!
5.0 out of 5 stars A Touching Romance For All Ages
Range 15 is an epic, tragic romance with a heart-wrenching twist that will bring tears to your eyes whether you are a sweet seven year old girl, an angsty 17 year old boy, or a 77 year young woman. This movie is the gothic, noir chick-flick done right. It has the fun, quirky humor of Warm Bodies, and the twisted, emotional romance of a Stephanie Myer Novel (they are basically interchangeable). The main character is Matthew, and bearded, brooding swashbuckler with a heart of gold but a painful, mysterious past. When the movie begins, Matthew is plagued by amnesia, and is unable to remember the twisted web of deceit and seduction that led him to his present circumstances. In typical gothic-noir detective action, he begins to receive flashbacks to his former life during a brutal (yet family friendly) interrogation scene. Matthew later escapes due to a natural disaster that occurs near his holding cell, and, after braving his way through the dark streets of Gotham, is reunited with a lost love... and then another, and another... Until Matthew just isn't sure what to believe anymore. In an epic quest to restore his memory, and to be reunited with his one true love, Matthew and his comrades must find a way into the mysterious place known only as Range 15.
4.0 out of 5 stars Some pretty raw scenes. Probably a lot military veterans would appreciate and relate to.
By raw I mean a scene (special effect of course) where the protagonists shoot the head off of an infant, though it might be a zombie infant. The character of the GI Joe type who always steels the protagonists' glory is probably supposed to be Blackwater's Eric Prince. The last name sounds Dutch (like Prince) and he has a shock of (probably bleached) blond hair on top of his head. It seems like there's animosity between military personnel and private contractors like Blackwater in Iraq. They are not bound to laws like military are and get paid far more in pay and press.Brief cameos by William Shatner and Danny Trejo. I'm guessing they may have played pro-bono in support of veterans. Great seeing both of these actors. I think some of the veteran actors may be Medal of Honor winners as well.I particularly like the independent nature of this film. Very low budget. At one point they are busted by cops for not having a license to film somewhere in the middle of the Mojave Desert. At another place, they're filming at some abandoned gas station in the desert and the owner of the property crawls out from some shack and demands money to film there. The producer gives him $1200 to finish their scenes.
Funny!
Excellent for comedy cheesy horror. I hope you like the typical dark comedy that military veterans have!
Just fun
Just fun. No deep Story. If you have served you may enjoy it.
Range 15
This was campy AF! If you are easily offended maybe not your cup of tea lol, but I loved it!
Military humor
Bunch of dumb military humor. I loved every second of it.
Confused shipping - but finally got it
Kind of a weird movie- it's my sons - you have to have a different sense of humour for this one.
