So I tried these traps for about 3 days and caught 4 mice in them, two the first night, 1 the second, and one the third from different areas in the house (sorry didnt take any pictures.) I think the only reason we didnt catch more has more to do with the fact we just dont have that many mice (I had already caught 6 with the sticky traps). Anyway these things are easy to bait, just added a tiny amount of peanutbutter to the bait bowl and a couple tiny smears on the inside of the top of the trap to entice them to the back of the trap. Setting it is easy, if you can work a chip clip or a hair clip you can work these. Just keep it upright and squeeze it open so it locks and set it wherever you want. Dont have to worry too much about kids or pets or even snapping yourself because honestly, theres not much force behind these things. Both myself and my girlfriend snapped them on our fingers multiple times.. it doesn't hurt at all really. But apparently its plenty to kill a mouse. All of the mice were caught by the head/back of the neck and killed instantly. (No squeaking and struggling to get out or anything, no need to dispatch them or wait for them to die on their own). Releasing them is easy and touch free. Just pick up the trap and hold it over the trashcan or dumpster and squeeze it open just like a chip clip and the mouse will fall out. You can clean them with hot water, and they seem to be pretty sturdy (for a mouse trap). What I liked most about them is there was never a time the trap was triggered and didnt have a dead mouse in it, and theres never been a time where the sneaky mice stole the peanut butter without triggering the trap. 100% effectiveness so far!I'd also like to add that these are NOT rat traps. They're for mice. This wont kill a rat, atleast not effectively. They make a rat version that's about 3-4 Times this size and a whole lot stronger.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works great!!! Trapped mice by the next day!
We had been hearing some noises in the attic but brushed it off. Then I found some mouse droppings in the garage and decided to get these. Didn't use them right away. Then the other night, I saw a grey shadow dash across the living room floor! It was a mouse! We immediately got these traps out. Could not find the mouse in the living room. We placed a few in the living room and in the garage. The next morning, we had trapped a mouse in the garage. Then my husband placed one in the basement. By the end of the day, another one trapped! We ended up ordering another set. I used peanut butter in the cup to attract the mice (it takes them longer to to keep licking it off to activate the trap). It seems cruel but I didn't want a live mouse stuck on a glue trap or catch and release a mouse either. The instructions say these are reusable and can be washed off - these are so affordable that unless you have a colony of mice and need to save the traps, just toss them out with the dead mouse. My husband refused to release the mouse and wash the trap again. We are hoping to solve our mice problem with this. Next step is to close out any holes to the house.Update 8/25/24- trapped two more mice overnight!! Didn’t realize there were so many.
5.0 out of 5 stars Works really well
I’ve had these for a couple of weeks and caught about a dozen mice and using five traps. One of the traps stopped working after two weeks, It just won’t reset anymore. But I think this trap called at least one mouse These are very easy to unload after a kill without touching the animal.
1.0 out of 5 stars The mouse found it amusing
After having baited and set the traps, we waited patiently for the mouse to take the bait. The mouse found the bait indeed and did in fact get caught in the trap by his tail. The mouse pulled his tail out with ease and went on to the next trap and got himself around the neck. Normally I would say that this is completed the job and that the mouse was dead.. however that was not the case here. The mouse then began to casually walk away while wearing the trap around his neck and nibbling upon the bait. The only thing that stopped the mouse was trying to get back behind the washing machine with the trap still around his neck as the gap was too narrow. Eventually the mouse turned himself around back into the gap and pulled the trap easily off of his neck. We basically spent money for a mouse toy.
3.0 out of 5 stars Do they work?
Some work and some would not stay open to trap mice. Some worked some didn’t. I would not buy again.
