5.0 out of 5 stars Always great
Have had a subscription for over a year. Love it in coffee and oatmeal
5.0 out of 5 stars Unsatisfied this time.
Product was very grainy. Like powdered milk that wouldn't mix. I have never had this happen before. I used to buy it locally in the dairy case and the store quit carrying it. I have been ordering shelf stable creamer from Bolo and so far it was great. All of the cartons in the box were like this. When I poured it down the sink, the creamer left a grainy film on my sink.UPDATE:Bolo sent out a new box at no cost and it was perfect!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great Dairy-Free Creamer Alternative
This Califia Farms Unsweetened Better Half is my go-to for a guilt-free coffee boost! It's pleasantly creamy without being too thick, and its mild, balanced flavor blends seamlessly into my morning brew. With zero carbs and no sugar, it's perfect for staying keto-friendly. Plus, it's packed with all the goodness—vegan, non-GMO, and free from dairy, soy, and gluten. Highly recommend for anyone looking to switch up their coffee game with a healthier option!
4.0 out of 5 stars unsweetened coconut & almond creamer. Coconut forward, almond settles into background
Coconut forward, it will definitely make your coffee taste like coconut. Good balance though, as the almond simmers it down a bit, yet the almond doesn't poke through. I tend to find that almond milk ruins my coffee (even though I like it for everything else), so I took a chance on this because of my favorable impression of other Califia products. It's good. Just have to like coconut.Thay being said, it isn't as creamy as their Unsweetened Barista Blend Oat Milk, which is very creamy and has a neutral taste that works well in my coffee. I love it, maybe too much.. haha.. as I keep buying it. I prefer my coffee black, but when I have some of their oat milk in my fridge, I cant help but grab for that. In comparison, I am not grabbing for this coconut & almond blend. It isnt bad, it just isnt quite doing it for me. I use it when I make one of my weird, slightly off putting coffee blends (my 2nd coup of coffee is used as a vehicle for some supplements. If I dont want to make a real smoothie, I use my coffee to put it all into. That makes for some strange flavors. This creamer helps mask some of it, and helps give it some normal flavor).I love that it is shelf stable until opened, so it is a welcome addition to my pantry and preps. Also works in a pinch for smoothies and other food preparations that could use some coconut/almond milk. Nothing bad that I can see. Really like this brand, so try some stuff out until you find a perfect match. For me, it is the barista blend I linked to.
3.0 out of 5 stars It’s mildly sweet, not a good substitute for my coffee.
I didn’t like it in my coffee, too sweet, it’s back to 1/2&1/2 for me, but I loved it on my breakfast cereal, it was delicious.
5.0 out of 5 stars Be Careful - Amazon Shipping the Wrong Item
I love this product. It is an amazing non-dairy, no sugar creamer for coffee. I have been a subscribe and save customer since early 2020. However, the last 6 weeks I have ordered this product 3 different times and each time Bolo sent me the WRONG ITEM. I don't know what is going on, but wanted to warn others/see if this is happening to anyone else.
1.0 out of 5 stars Spoiled or rotten
After putting this in my coffee, I realized it tasted like soap. At first, I couldn't tell if it was me or if it really tasted like soap. I had my husband taste it, he came close to vomiting after trying it. This is the most disgusting creamer I've ever used! I'm not so sure that it wasn't the source of what made me extremely nauseous and sick all day, either. Califia you just need to stop trying to make creamer, it's repulsive and possibly also sickening. Since I wasted at least $4 on a cup of rotten coffee, I feel Califia owes me money for that. Coffee is not cheap!I absolutely DO NOT suggest you buy this creamer if you're looking for an alternative to the unhealthy powdered or milk based creamers. Anything that makes you ill all day after drinking it is probably unhealthy as well.I'll never buy Califia again….EVER.
5.0 out of 5 stars Use instead of milk!
AT LAST! The perfect substitute for milk for my young son and me! We cannot have dairy and have tried many varieties and brands of dairy-free milk, from rice to coconut to cashew to almond, including homemade and store-bought. Hands-down this has the best flavor and a nice creamy texture that makes a cup of coffee, a smoothie, or a bowl of cereal a delight - instead of a punishment - to enjoy, and with minimal added ingredients. I was purchasing the 16 oz containers at Whole Foods but they cost about the same as the large size on Bolo so I'm thrilled to have found this case option for the large containers and at such a reasonable price. My one wish would be that there could be an organic option for this; we try to eat all organic and definitely almonds should be produced organically.... so if that option comes along I will jump at it. Meanwhile we will enjoy this very much. To those who say this has too much fat, it has 6 g per cup and it's all healthy fat, and with zero sugar. Regardless, I'm happy to be able to add these extra calories to my son's diet as he is very thin and giving him almond or rice milk in smoothies offers almost nothing by way of fat which he really needs. Thank you Califia!!
