About this item:
Levana Oma Sense Baby Breathing Movement Monitor: Utilizing cutting-edge Wakeup Technology, the Levana Oma Sense sleep monitor for baby takes some of the fear out of parenting by continually monitoring the abdominal movement rate of your infant. Offering priceless relief for the common urge to get out of bed to check on your little one’s abdominal movements, this ingenious abdominal movement baby monitor allows the whole family to get better quality sleep by letting you know exactly if and when your baby needs you. Made in a Medical Grade facility, this newborn baby monitor can detect signs of no abdominal movement and initiate the appropriate responses for baby and for you. A continual blue flashing light on the device assures parents that breathing motion is normal. If the baby safe sleep monitor doesn’t detect any abdominal movement for 15 seconds, Oma Sense will trigger a gentle stimulation via vibrations until regular movement resumes. If regular movement doesn’t re-establish within 5 seconds, the baby abdominal movement monitor will alert parents into action via an emergency alarm with LED lights and sounds. this is a baby breathing monitor which alearts the parents when no abdominal breathinbg of baby is detected.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to use
I got the package fast (to EU) and the sensor works nicely, although we have had a few false alarms (and possibly one real situation). It is very easy to put on and to attach with the clip. I like it much better than our previous Snuza Hero which has to be put on a level surface to put on, gives more false alarms, has to be attached to the diaper, is really hard to attach, and leaves red marks on baby's belly.
5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty Great!
So far this little device is pretty great. I love that it is simple and lofi. I did not like the ones with apps and Bluetooth because they gave false alarms. This one has a battery and just works as it should. The only criticism I would have is the alarm is not as loud as other baby sleep monitors. Like the Snuzi is LOUD but it also gives false alarms. So my actual rating would probably be 4.5x If you have a baby monitor on though you would totally hear this one if it goes off. Taps the baby too. It’s definitely given us a lot of piece of mind. We use it for naps and bedtime! Oh one piece of advice I saw from another reviewer that was super helpful - cut an elastic waste band from another piece of baby pants for your kid and use it as a strap. Because not every outfit has buttons or pants.
4.0 out of 5 stars Added Peace of Mind
I purchased two monitors for use with Twins. My twins are two months old and these have been great, I use them in conjunction with a Newton Mattress and a Baby Sense under the mattress crib monitor. My larger twin (10lbs 6oz) is a back & slide sleeper and we’ve had 3 false alarms that I believe are due to in accurate readings while on his side as he is breathing normally when they alarm. This being said, I’ll take the false alarm over no alarm any day. My smaller twin (8 lbs 4oz) is a a back sleeper and hasn’t had any alarms sound. They are easy to use, I sleep them in a onesie/ footed pants combo to have a waist band to clip them to. Clipping them to the diaper doesn’t seem as comfortable for their skin. I’ve also used button up sleepers and clipped them sideways through the button opening and that seems to be the most secure and comfortable way to attach them but harder for diaper changes in the night. I like that there’s a blue light that continues to flash as they’re on for peace of mind. The alarm is easily heard in the same room as baby, I wouldn’t feel comfortable using them if baby slept in a separate bedroom. I love that they aren’t WiFi/ App dependent and was a huge selling point for me. I highly recommend these for the newborn stage, I will be curious to see how they work as they start to roll and move about in their cribs as they age, but for the 0-3months stage they’re doing great. I also appreciate the affordable pricing, I got them on sale under $70. I recommend. I previously purchased the U-Sense monitors and didn’t like them, they relied on an app that didn’t give me peace of mind, didn’t seem accurate on temperature and movement readings and had to have a separate base station purchased to make it twin compatible.
5.0 out of 5 stars The best baby sleep monitor!!!
This gives such peace of mind! It works beautifully, I feel so comfortable knowing it makes a sound when it powers on or off so if the battery were to die in the middle of the night (it hasn’t yet) it would make a sound that wakes me so I would know he was not being monitored any longer. So far only false. Alarm was while he was swaddled. (Which I learned after is not recommended with this monitor.) even when it alarms while Abby is asleep it doesn’t wake him enough to ruin his slumber, just gets him into a less deep sleep. I am already considering buying a second just in case this one were to ever quit working so we wouldn’t have to do a night without it. Affordable, reliable, it’s perfect!
5.0 out of 5 stars Truly a magical device for FTMs
I LOVE this little gadget.Very simple without all of the anxiety inducing extra monitoring that some sensors have and easy to use. I am finally able to actually sleep.
5.0 out of 5 stars best purchase ive made yet
this is my absolute favorite thing ive bought for my daughter, i recommend to every new and expecting mom i come across. its so simple and the only thing that helped me keep my peace of mind when my daughter decided she can only sleep when her face is stuffed in the side of her crib. the only times ive had false alarms is when i didnt swaddle her tightly enough and it falls off. i had so many issues with another brand that claimed to check temperature, heart rate, oxygen levels etc, it was never accurate and gave me so much anxiety. but with this one i can find comfort knowing shes definitely breathing, because if it didnt recognize some sort of movement it would go off.
3.0 out of 5 stars Major Flaw: Can' t Be Used with Most Onesies
So, I wanted to love this product. The fact that is was lofi meant I didn't have to rely on connectivity for it to work. But it has a major (very fixable) flaw - you can only use it clipped to pants or with a onesie with buttons down the chest. Most of my little one's outfits either a.) zipper up and down or b.) snap at the crotch. As we are approaching summer, I don't put my little one in pants at night so... while the product works theory, it doesn't work **for me** in practice.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great monitor.
This monitor gave me such peace of mind. I bought it for my one month old baby girl and I’m so glad I did. It really works and the alerts are loud. Best thing I’ve purchased for her. I’m so greatful items like these exists. They help parents a lot. Truly life changing.
A must have for anxious parents
I bought this because I wanted to make sure my baby is physically breathing. I didn't want a device that had to go to my phone and measure oxygen level before alerting me something is wrong. It really made me less anxious at night and while my baby napped. I put this on top of my baby's woolino and it works fine. Yes there's a few false alarms but I'd rather have that than a non breathing baby. My LO rolls over now, so when the alarm goes off I know she rolled and put it on the side or her back, then I know she's breathing while tummy sleeping (we room share). One reviewer mentioned using a stretchy band to keep it on the tummy so even if baby rolls over, it'll still work. Just place it slight off to the side.Btw amazing battery life. 6 months in and the battery is still good!
Broke
Had for 7 months and clip on back broke but it is an amazing product if clip wasn't broke wish they would just send a new back
Broke after short use / bad customer service
I loved it. It was great and gave me peace of mind. While my baby was sleeping the clip in the back cracked. It’s now unusable since I cannot clip it onto anything. We were always careful with it and there is no way to fix this broken piece of plastic.I reached out to the company (since I am still within the 1 year warranty) and they said they don’t cover this type of damage.Very disappointed since I hardly used it and I spend a lot of money for it. Very bad customer support.I have an owlet since 6 years and it still works so I recommend buying the owlet instead.
Déjà brisé
On doit taper ma Chine sur le bébé car l’élastique a brisé
Peace of mind
We used this for my nicu baby when she got home from hospital , it gave us peace of mind however it’s quite bulky and she’s a squirmy worm so it would bother her at times.Very loud , and vibration to stimulate works well. Not sure if she was actually having issues at sleep or if it was sending real alarms because there’s no app or history to look at.Decent for the money spent but basic
