Bought this torch because it was very similar to another name-brand, very expensive torch, but cost 80% less. So far, it works great. It's easy to handle with a strong flame that is easy to control. The seal it makes with the butane can is tight and leak free.

The media could not be loaded. Most Chinese products on Bolo and ebay are pretty substandard. You buy them because it is like gambling...you may hit the jackpot and find a hidden gem that can be used for years to come. Most of the time the items are used once and broken/forgotten about or returned. This is not one of those items. I find the quality of construction to be very good despite being plastic. It is sturdy and attaches firmly to a standard butane canister. Flame control is very discrete and can be tweaked easily by turning the plastic knob. It is not an on or off situation so you can adjust the flame to your needs. There is also an internal source of ignition that allows for easy one handed starting. This is great for caramelizing sugar on a creme brulee or lightly searing nigiri sushi. Moreover, I have used it to burn off low lying weeds that are a pain to pull out. I can see that you need to use with caution as the butane canister empties as the whole assembly becomes top heavy. Not good if you are around a lot of loose flammable material. Butane canisters are really cheap so you really can't lose if you need a source of reliable flame that is more than a lighter but less than a blowtorch.

The media could not be loaded. Bought this torch to finish off the sou vide tomahawk steak that was too big for my carbon steel pan. I was worried that it will not be hot enough (as per view comparisons on butane torches vs flame throwers on YouTube), but it turns out just fine for me. Seared the steak for around 3-5 mins on each side and achieved a good result. I use it for a sous vide steak, hence the temperature is enough to finish off the steak, but will definitely be NOT enough to cook a raw steak even if its thinner.As a beginner for using a butane torch, its easy enough to use. The flame it throws is longer then I expect, especially the soft flame mode, which burst significantly longer and less controllable. I set my cabinet on fire for a brief second, luckily my cabinet is material is flame retardant and I suspect it only burned away the oily/dusty/chemically cleaned surface away.Overall, I got what I want with this torch, just use it with enough space plus some extra to be cautious. I will only use the soft flame mode outdoor.

As an amateur chief I was looking for an easy-to-use unit that would work and be compatible with my countertop single flame cooktop unit fuel so I didn't have to buy 2 times of butane. This unit works like a champ! Easy to use and great control of the flame makes it the perfect choice. Since I like to also cook wood fired steaks it works perfectly to get the wood started. Directions are easy to understand and I had it working in less than a minute.

I bought this on the recommendation of a YT video where a guy said that searing with a torch is not his favorite method, but he liked this FunOwlet so well that he bought another when his finally died.I previously had a $69 model from a name-brand fancy kitchen store and hated it.This one is much cheaper and is very easy to light up and use.All you do is twist a can on to the bottom - turn the rear knob - and pull the trigger.It automatically lights and stays lit, so that you don't have to hold the trigger down.Shut it off by turning the knob the other way to close the valve.No, there aren't a lot of safety interlocks, but I figure I'm a responsible adult.I don't worry about the gas leaking out, like with the expensive model, but I do pull the can off after use, and set the nozzle on a granite counter to cool.Be aware that this torch will operate in any orientation, so if you hold it in a position that allows the butane to flow out more easily, it will do so and may produce more flame than you want.Holding in an upright position is very easy to do. And the flame size is easily adjustable.

Absolute garbage. Butane leaked from the ‘seal’ and nearly caused a house fire. Luckily we had a fire extinguisher handy. Flames shot out sideways and lit my wife’s sweater on fire. With a non-stop source of fuel, the fire was nearly impossible to extinguish. We managed to get the torch into the kitchen sink, and covered it with wet towels. The flames continued, so we used a fire extinguisher, which fortunately worked. Needless to say, but the crème brule was not a success. DO NOT buy this piece of junk.

This works far better than expected! However, it requires butane cans with a direct connect rim. I did not realize that and bought normal butane refill cans. But that was on me. Highly recommend, especially for the cost👍🏾👍🏾

I was surprised that this was so easy to use. The igniter lit the gas every single time. Nice flame size for igniting wood as in a campfire or wood stove. I would, however, recommend the company add instructions for the user who may not be familiar with burners.
Works great
This torch works great. It's a handy little device that can reach a really high temperature. I like that it uses separate butane bottles, because the refillable torches can be a pain to refill at times.
