5.0 out of 5 stars Bacteria poison is people poison?!
This product works flawlessly. Using it is essential to human health and humidifier longevity. Bacteria and algae will absolutely grow and be introduced into the air without appropriate treatment (bad for human and pet health; also icky smells). This product is odorless and makes humidifier upkeep a breeze by extending wick life and eliminating biofilms (bacteria sludge). Despite its terrifying label, the treatment solution is essentially a cleaning product comparable to ammonia that we all keep under our kitchen sinks. The warning label might actually keep people from being too casual with the product, which should be treated like bleach or ammonia—with care. The dose makes the poison: this treatment must be diluted at approx 1:1000 (0.16 fl. ounces per gallon of water). If you are smelling chemicals, that is a sign that the product wasn’t diluted and was allowed by flawed equipment or improper use to evaporate undiluted (or that waaaaay too much product was used). Using this product reduces the use of other potentially harmful and annoying products, like bleach. The alternative to using this bacteriacide in an evaporative humidifier is weekly hour-long cleanings with bleach and shorter wick life. (Note: household bleach has the same dire safety warnings about wearing gloves and goggles; Essick Air and Clorox are both OSHA cat 1 & 2 hazards (eyes/skin). Food for thought.) I’ve used this product for three long winters, eyeball the measurement, and have never experienced a problem. Humid air reduces airborne bacteria, mold spores, virus particles, and allergens. A properly working humidifier needs a bacteria- and algae-free reservoir/water source. This product works great without any pool chemical odors!
5.0 out of 5 stars humidifer fluid
I have ordered this fluid numerous times for our humidifier, and am pleased with how it works. My filters last longer, and I don't have to worry about odor, mildew or mold in our unit. We've used this for years now, and will continue to.
5.0 out of 5 stars Extremely helpful
Humidifiers can be tricky, but this product works exactly as described.
4.0 out of 5 stars Works like it should
I've used this for several years now and have never seen any sign of bacteria of any sort. It just works.
5.0 out of 5 stars Keeps my humidifier bacteria and odor free
The first year i had a portable humidifier I didn't use this stuff in it and at the end of the season my wick as brown with bacteria growing on it. When the next season came around and I bought a new wick I decided to get this stuff and start using it. Since I've been using it the humidifier has stayed completely clean and odor free. From reading the label, this stuff appears to be somewhat toxic if you touch or swallow it so be careful when using it, but other than that it seems to be great and do exactly what its supposed to do. Highly recommended for a nice pleasant humidifier season.
5.0 out of 5 stars Really Works!
I've been using this stuff in three evaporative humidifiers for five months and there is zero funk growing in any of them. Previously I tried regular disinfection with bleach or peroxide and it never kept weird growth from happening, plus it was a big hassle. So happy to have a solution to an ongoing problem. This has no detectable odor, which was a concern. Also it has no effect on the wick's longevity unless you count making them last longer because they don't grow nasty mold! Very happy with this stuff, and I think the two bottles are a lifetime supply!

Works great in my humidifier
5.0 out of 5 stars Necessary to run my humidifier.
Need this to keep my humidifier water free of bacteria.
My humidifiers love it
I apply it to all my humidifier in the winter, and it keeps their filter clean, so my humidifiers could operate at their best.
Not for ultrasonic humidifiers
Read the instructions, I didn't. Used it for a week in ultrasonic humidifier by accident. Not a great feeling. This is to be used on "cool wick" humidifiers, the one that has a sponge of some sort and a fan. I probably not recommend this for "hot" humidifiers which boil water. But I recall hot humidifiers has no microbial growth to speak with since it boils the water.I use this in my PC water cooling reservoir since I didn't want to waste it, it also prevents microbial growth. Pretty sure that's not the right way, but I don't have anything else to use this on.
Works that slime
So far with 4 liter fill ups on my humidifier , I had not notice the annoying slim build up in my tank ....I also put Febreze in the tank for a pleasant smell
Not sure if it is really working
I have been using products for my humidifier. The surface of inner tank become a bit slimy after couple of days even if I pour this product. not sure if it is really working...
Second Order
This is my mothers second order of these. Great value but it really does work.she puts it in her large humidifier but also her little ones as well it really cuts down on the water dust sports and regular dust around the house.Keeps her large humidifier clean and has never had a problem with it after 9 years of use and she believes its because she used this to keep it clean and running well. You only use a cap or 2 full but she orders more because it takes so long to get and never wants to run out
