5.0 out of 5 stars Solid value for money - quality frame - decent lenses
Frames:The frames impress, they feel solid, have a reassuring weight. Hinge mechanism has good stiffness and seems robust and durable. You can visually compare the hinge with many other aviators in this general price bracket which have a very simple hinge and thin arm and see a clear quality difference.I have found the fit good and measurements as listed to be accurate. Most of sizing is just knowing your face size and what looks good on you and ordering accordingly.Lenses:The lenses are solid as well, color is nice, they are polarized. People claiming they aren't have probably ordered the "Night Lens/Gunmetal Frame" option. That said I do believe the polarization effect could be a bit stronger. The green Lenses also aren't especially dark/deep tented, which will be a pro for some and con for others. I find them a sold middle ground for most activities. The only negative I have found thus far is the antiglare coating on the back of the lenses, on the inside towards the eye, seems to be a bit lacking. Light coming from behind creates glare spots and it sometimes even seems just light reflecting off the face from a strong source can create very small glare spots. This is likely common for any lenses in this general price range.I would love to see a slightly more premium version of this style with polarized glass lenses. the frames are nice enough that I would probably pay triple the cost of these for premium lenses. All said, these seem very solid value for money at ~$17 at the time of writing.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good Quality And Value
These sunglasses look great - I got the gold frame with brown lenses - they're well made and don't feel flimsy like some of the pairs I've bought from the store, and the polarization is definitely good. I like the rubber nose pads and they rest comfortably on my face without moving around. My only complaint is that the bayonet temples extend a little beyond the sides of the lenses when folding them so they don't fold into each other as well as they could. Other than that these are nice sunglasses at a good price.
4.0 out of 5 stars Polarized glasses come in different builds
These glasses are some really nice looking comparatively similar pilot glasses. I wore them once and they do cut down on the sun exposure and make driving a pleasant experience with them. The glasses come with a nice pouch and a pad to clean the glass with. When looking at the two glasses side by side, these glasses appear to look very similar to the aviators, but they are definitely NOT a $250 pair of Polarized pilot glasses. After doing some research on polarized glasses, I found there are many different productions of polarized glasses and the types of tints that can be added are endless. 30 years ago the standard check for polarized aviators was to turn them 90 degrees and you get a black out. These newer production glasses might be 360 degree polarized, or partial polarized. Newer glasses may have different tints that help with seeing in water versus driving. All that being said, my previous rant about these glasses was slightly off with newer production techniques. These glasses are not the $300 Rayban glasses, but they are nice quality sunglasses at a basement bargain price.
5.0 out of 5 stars Love the fit of these!
Unfortunately I had to replace the last pair I had due to recent incident with TSA personnel (thank you for breaking my glasses and then not admitting to it). The last pair I bought was over 2 years ago and have been very durable. They are relatively light weight and comfortable enough to wear them all day without any eye fatigue or on the ears. They are very robust and have handles multiple drops, been tossed around in the car, step son has borrowed them multiple times and have maintained their shape and appearance. I have light and photosensitivity, these have been wonderful at protecting my eyes from the sun. I like them so much I went for the purchase of 2 of them. Also if you work outside a lot and sweat, they stay on your face well without sliding off when bent over.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great quality and sun protection at an amazing price
To the point: I highly recommend; They have effective polarized lenses that are easy on the eyes, a high-quality metal frame that does not feel cheap nor flimsy that’s lightweight yet sturdy, comfortable and durable, just great quality and great sun protection at an amazing price. My only con is Sungait does not offer non-polarized nor bifocal sunglasses.A longtime Ray-Ban owner these are comparable while maintaining that sophisticated Ray-Ban style. I own eight pair of Sungaits over the years since 2019, 3-pair of the ultralight rectangular and 5-pair of the aviators (BTW, I purchased all eight pair for less than what I paid for my one pair of Ray-Bans). Of course nothing compares head-to-head with Ray-Bans but of all the under $25 dollar priced sunglasses out there for me these are markedly above the competition even against some of the $40 - $50 pairs.I still wear all of them and I throw them around. I’ve found them strong and resilient over the years. I have no bent frames, no noticeable scratches or swirls (it helps that I clean the lenses by first holding under water to remove any abrasive grit and dust then dry with the lens cloth provided or a microfiber towel). I try to keep them in their bags but this is not always possible. I do have to occasionally bend the nose pads to fit properly but none have broken off yet. I did have one issue once that customer service handled promptly and to great satisfaction; they’re great. Why own so many? Like my readers, I leave a pair or two around in different locations so I always have a pair handy e.g. I put a pair or two in each of my two cars, I’ll throw a pair in my travel and gym bag, when I go to the beach, am doing something athletic like running, playing volleyball, tennis, etc. I do drop them on the ground but I’ve been lucky - no scratches.
3.0 out of 5 stars I'd give it 5☆ but....
The shades are a light black tint. The frames fit tight on my head but I'll just get over it and have them stretch naturally to my shape. Otherwise the frames are great. Seems rigid.
5.0 out of 5 stars Just really nice.
Nice pair of sunglasses for their cost. Well made come with carrying bag and screw driver to tighten arm screws if needed. They look great.
Nice sunglasses
Very nice sunglasses. The frame is sturdy and looks nice. The lenses are of good quality. Very happy with these, mostly at this price. I got the gunmetal frame with grey lenses. It's a discrete look.
Me sientan bien
