The breaker on our oven/stove top has gone out completely, and due to a couple of other, more serious issues cropping up at the same time, we won't be able to get it fixed for a few months. So, after a few weeks of "roughing it" with instant pot meals only, we decided to get a dedicated cooktop. And I wish we had ordered it as soon as the breaker went out, because this thing is fantastic! Works extremely well and does exactly what you would want a cooktop to do - cook lol.As others have stated, it's got a little plastic smell to it when you initially use it, but by the second use it was gone for us. It's also not as quick to heat as I was expecting it to be from the reviews, but I think that ultimately depends on what youre used to cooking on. For us, it's a little slow compared to our stove, but we have friends with comparable stoves to ours that lag far behind this cooktop in terms of heating speed. Regardless though, it's speed isn't too bad at all and very easy to get used to after a few uses! Especially for the price!!!The cast iron plates that transfer the heat do stay hot for a lot longer than glass or the traditional wire heating elements, so be aware of that after cooking! Usually takes about 20 minutes or so to cool to a safe touching temp from full high heat! However, imo it's the perfect trade off to not be able to drop food into the burner while cooking lol.All in all, a great cooktop! It feels great to able to properly cook in my own home again. If you have a similar situation to us, or just need a decent cooktop for travel or camping, I can't reccommend this cooktop enough!

This hot plate is an excellent deal. The price I paid was really good at the time I bought it. I love the ceramic burners, how much heat it puts out and the fact that there are two burners. I needed to have more burners while I was doing some canning. I had my regular stove full of my pressure canning pots and needed more space to do water bath canning. The bigger burner gets hot enough to can with the water bath. I was able to heat up water in a small pot on the smaller burner at the same time. It was crowded but I was able to do it. CAUTION! Due to the ceramic, the burners stay hot for a very long time so BE CAREFUL when done cooking.

I purchased this to cut on gas cost from stove which we don't use anymore. It sits perfectly on main stove. We already saw a difference in light bill, although the " fees" out cost any actual use of gas usage. As for this stove top, it's very nice looking, two sides which function & heats fast slow for boiling like 2-5 minutes. It does have a slight smoky scent sometimes but doesn't last long maybe 1-2 minutes. It's cast iron but upon a few uses the top left appears to show wear already ( coating). It's easy to clean up but you have to be careful to do so after appliance "cools" down because it stays hot. I usually turn off about 5 minutes before I am done cooking as it stays hot & I allow it to finish off my cooking like that. In cleaning: the button grade numbers on left side faded already so I have to figure the heat seating ( about a month after). It has heat settings and (dots) to keep as warmer. I like the size for pots resting on both sides. Just be careful what & how you clean so that you don't over scrub it and don't realize the imprinted number can fade with use. We don't cook all the time but works fine, can be stored, thick cord it's saving us money on light bill, the gas stove was costly but only be used for like turkey and larger baking for holidays. Arrived fine, but you need to learn to get familiar with the grading on heating, once you know your good to go.

Works well, turns off if you turn the dial all the way low on the side with the dots. It does take some time to get the pan hot maybe 5-10 minutes and takes about that long to make water boil. The top is like cast iron, don't leave any water on it or it'll rust and don't clean it with water. If you end up getting rust on it just pour some coca cola and take a brush to scrub that off the pat dry with a towel.

Such a good burner , perfect for outdoor activities. Quick and easy to use and completely safe . I been using this over 1 year , works perfectly fine since day 1 . I recommend this .

I got this because it was 1700w and most I seen were 800-1000.Disappointments: Temperature dials, bad placment, cant get to them if there are pans on the bruners. Unit indicator lights did not work. Takes over 30 minutes for a pot of water to get BARLEY hot enough to cook pasta. Will NOT go to full rolling boil.If you are looking to warm, simmer, or light cooking or frying such as sandwiches, eggs, soup, etc. this will work.

We bought this because we are doing a kitchen remodel and needed a place to still be able to cook. This little thing is amazing! I cook on it everyday. In the morning I use a cast iron pan the same size as the large burner to cook my eggs. For lunch, grilled cheese in the cast iron pan. For dinner it’s hot enough to boil water in a decent amount of time as long as you start with hot water from the tap for pasta. I can make popcorn in it in my popcorn pan. It’s such a blessing to still be able to cook even though we have no kitchen. This thing is the best, and it works off of a regular outlet. I can run the microwave and the hot plate, and a TV and Xbox on the same circuit. That’s the max though. Beyond that the breaker will trip.Happy cooking!

I purchased this as we were having our kitchen remodeled and didn't have a cooktop.It is perfect to prepare eggs, breakfast and smaller meals.It will boil water- but take just a few extra minutes.Overall, the burners are a bit hard to clean, but the rest of the unit is very easy to clean.It was great for the price and served our needs well!I would recommend!
Barely does the job
If you need to boil water to actually sanitize/disinfect water, go with something else. It’s got an element, but the wires used to connect it to the wall outlet are bottlenecking the energy transfer, so any decent amount of water in any reasonabley sized pot will never boil. If you felt like rewirijg it, it’s a matter of removing 1 compression nut from a threaded rod off the bottom and the entire thing flies open.

Calienta rápido y potente
The media could not be loaded. Llegó en excelentes condiciones, bien empaquetada, es una parrilla básica, apesar de ello es un buen producto, es barata, sí, pero esteticamente se ve bien, las placas de hierro fundido se sienten de buena calidad, es muy ligera, casi no pesa, cuando la utilice tardo como 5 minutos en calentarse, al nivel máximo calentó bastante, al apagarla tardo un poco más de media hora para enfriance, todo bien hasta el momento, veremos cómo funciona con el uso, por el precio me parece un buen producto.

Es un producto muy bueno, calienta uniforme, fácil de limpiar, no afecta a la instalación eléctrica (no se nota el bajón de corriente eléctrica) y fácil de guardar por su tamaño compacto.
