5.0 out of 5 stars If You Don't Want To Give Your Dog Phenobarbital For Seizures!!
My Vet prescribed Phenobarbital for my dog for the seizures that he has been experiencing. I did research on the side effects of phenobarbital and they didn't sound very promising. My pup has been taking this since around Thanksgiving so maybe 2 months. The seizures have lessened and the severity of them has also lessened. I appreciate not having to give him a liver damaging narcotic, when this seems to have the same effect that my vet claimed the Phenobarbital would. I am grateful and happy with the outcome of this supplement. As a follow up, 4 months later my dog’s seizures have subsided. Are they gone? I don’t know but he hasn’t had any in a few months now! His overall appearance and health has improved. If you’re scared like I was I say give it a try. It’s not an overnight fix but with time he gets better and better!!😁
5.0 out of 5 stars Stopped my puppy's seizures!! As soon as we ran out he had another episode!
I bought these for my puppy (rhodesian ridgeback) when he was around 6 months old, and he started showing symptoms of epilepsy. He was fly bitting and having paranoid episodes. I bought these as a last-ditch effort in an attempt to avoid any of the harsh prescribed medicines that can damage a dog's internal organs with prolonged use. My puppy's episodes were happening maybe once a month at most. When we started using the medicine I thought it might be a fluke, but the seizures stopped. After 3 months the pills ran out, and within a week he had another episode!! We immediately re-bought this product, and we will see if it continues to help! The flavor was not the best but covered in half a piece of cheese there was no problem. I highly recommend trying this product out!! Even if it's not a full-proof solution, it can't hurt!
4.0 out of 5 stars Ok
Great ingredients but no go on flavor. My dog spits it out every time even little pieces. I have to crush it into powder and mix in his food.
5.0 out of 5 stars dog has improved
I wasn't really expection much, but my dog has improved. It took a few months to get a big improvment. The seizures became shorter the first two months on the pills. So far now, she just seems a little strange and then has a burst of energy that lasts a short time. More like a fit. Much improved over the seizures. Before I started the treatment she developed what I would call dementia. That hasn't improved. She lost interest in going for walks and that was the most improtant thing in her day to her. She now doesn't want to go outside. I hope she keeps improving, but it is very slow. I am happy with the results, so far.
1.0 out of 5 stars It simply isn't working for my Yorkie.
My 10 year old Yorkie has been on this product for over two months, and I am not seeing any improvement in her seizures at all. Prior to taking this pill, she was having 1 to 3 seizures per month. Since starting this medicine, she had 3 seizures in the first month, and 4 seizures in the second month. Her seizures are becoming stronger as well. She used to have a single seizure at a time, and then began having two seizures at a time -- as soon as the first seizure ended, and second one would begin. Today, she had three in a row. She's been having seizures for two years, and they are slowly getting more pronounced. I don't think this product harmed her, but I just didn't help in that area. I like to think that maybe she's recovering from her seizures better, but that might just be my perception. I'm going to take her off this product and see if I notice any changes... as well as get her back to the vet for another check-up. She had previously been on phenobarbital, but that didn't improve her condition either. I'd like to try another prescription medication, though I worry nothing will help. On the plus side, the times (weeks) between seizures, she's still the sweetest little pup I've even had. I just hurts me to see her have to suffer though her seizures every couple of weeks.Oh, and she does not like the taste of the pills. I had to crush them, then mix them with wet dog food before she would eat them. And the pills smell awful. Hold your nose when dispensing.

Worth a try but watch your pet very closely
5.0 out of 5 stars Saved my dog
My dog started getting seizures which were slowly increasing in frequency and severity. At first he was having about two a week and they were starting to last longer and longer, with some of them lasting more than 2 minutes. Then I put him on these dog seizures supplement and his fits are now virtually gone. He would still have one every two weeks or so, but often times none at all. The best thing is that when there is a seizure, it is of a far shorter duration, no more than half a minute at most. We went to the vet to do some blood tests and he was diagnosed with epilepsy. The vet recommended that if his seizures begin to get worse and last longer he could put him on a dog seizure medication, but for now thankfully that's not needed. I really don't want my dog to take meds, with all their side effects. These tablets are a very effective solution to what is a scary problem and my dog will keep getting them.
2.0 out of 5 stars It is not refundable
How would one know if their animal will like a product that they have not tested on their animal? If your dog is a picky eater I would find another way of trying this product. I think I $42.00 for it. Now.... what do i do with it? I guess throw it away.
