About this item:
The IMUSA Caldero is the ‘workhorse’ of any Hispanic kitchen due to its versatility and unique design. The Caldero (or ‘cauldron’ in English) has rounded sides, a tight fitting lid, and superior heat distribution. Calderos are used to cook rice, beans, braise meat, and simmer stews and soups.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best pots I own
Great value, great size, good quality. I use this pot on a regular basis and have not had any issue with it. Seems very durable - much more durable than some of the other non-stick cookware I've owned over the years. Great product for the price

4.0 out of 5 stars Good
This caldero pot meets my needs perfectly. I have a 12 quart nonstick pot, but it's 12 quarts tall and thin: great for soups and stews but not for things like Corned Beef Brisket; a 5 lb. brisket doesn't fit lengthwise, nor does a whole chicken.Despite all of the negative reviews, I decided to give this a try. Honestly, I wasn't surprised to see that the cover has crimps in it (see pictures). So it's not anesthetically perfect but the cover seemed to form a complete closure on the pot, and the crimped area falls inside of the pot when the cover is on so you can't see it. I decided to cook my brisket and boiled dinner ingredients to see if that kink made a difference and I'm happy to say that it did not.Today I was able to put 3 full pounds of fresh spinach in this pot with no problems! I love the size, the width, the ease of cleaning, the wood look knob and handles, and the light weight. I do NOT love the fact that the handles are listed as "cool touch", which in fact they get extremely hot while cooking. And I don't love the dented cover BUT for $24.97, I'm thinking that you get what you pay for. If you can accept that this pot will most likely arrive with a defect, if that defect doesn't interfere with cooking and doesn't look bad, then it's a good deal and I recommend it.
5.0 out of 5 stars The wood handles are hot, after cooking, use caution.
Excellent for making a pot of Chili and keeping it hot for 2nd helping.
1.0 out of 5 stars Very cheaply made
I have never bought a pot that was not a perfect circle. When I opened it I immediately saw that it was not perfectly round and the lid won't even shut on it. The pictures don't really do it justice but very disappointed and will not purchase again. And don't have the time to return it so I will just deal with not being able to close it. Would not recommend
5.0 out of 5 stars This is one of the best kitchen purchases I've made
I love this thing. I does everything I had hoped and more. Wonderful heating qualities NO sticking, and effortless clean up. Great for cooking perfect basmati rice, meat, even scrambled eggs!I've been looking for an aluminum pot because I needed/wanted the great heat distribution aluminum offers. I took a chance on this 'used-packaging damaged' item. When it arrived I saw that the cover did not fit correctly as some others have noted. I could see that the pot had been deformed as though a heavy object had been set on on it while it rested on its side.A few well placed taps with a padded hammer did the trick. My thanks to whoever returned this. I got a wonderful pot for a greatly reduced price.
5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect size and thickness of metal
I instantly liked this pot. Light interior color and not to thin and food cooks very efficiently. It was on sale so it was a good buy. I recommend highly to buy it 👍👍
3.0 out of 5 stars Better for a camping set not daily cookware
First the good: It cooked potatoes crispy and cooked eggs on a fairly non-stick surface. It has a transparent lid with a steam vent. The issues are: it is much thinner construction than expected. We are replacing a similar style pan which has been a favorite daily driver for years. Sadly, that brand isn't made anymore. Not a direct knock on the pans, but they came packed loosely in a larger than needed box, so they got banged around pretty good during shipping as well. Both were out of round and the lids wouldn't fit. But the metal is so thin and flexible that I could just bend it back.Note: This was mentioned in other reviews but is a reminder worth taking seriously. The handles get as hot as the pan when cooking so you MUST remember to use pot holders when handling.Anyway, I'm still looking for a similar style, higher-quality pan. These are going in with the camping supplies.
Good size for the family
We’ll made and size is good for the family meal
Excelente calidad
Excelente utensilio, no requiere practicamente nada de grasa para cocinar
Hoping to get the new one to use the great IMUSA product
Didn’t get any chance to use it yet :( the pot came broken… the lid was perfect but the pot was unshaped… if it was shipping’s issue then the lid would broker first… need a replacement for sure
Great customer service
Not as expected, returned for full refund. Thank you.
