DermaHarmony 2% Pyrithione Zinc Shampoo Bar for dandruff and seborrheic dermatitis - Peppermint (4 Oz) Solid shampoos are great because they last a very long time, are less-expensive per wash, and produce less waste since they don’t come in plastic bottles. Our new soap-free 2% Pyrithione Zinc Shampoo Bar is derived from plant-based surfactants with no animal ingredients. The bars are 100% SLS free. They're scented with natural peppermint. The DermaHarmony Shampoo Bar is very mild to the skin and non-drying. The bar is sulfate-free with a pH of 5.1 and has a dense luxurious lather in both hard and soft water. A single bar will last for months with daily use.
INGREDIENTS: Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (SCI), Stearic Acid, Coconut Fatty Acid, 2% Zinc Pyrithione, Sodium Isothionate, Peppermint (Mentha Piperita) Oil, Coco Glucoside (a mild vegetable-based foaming ingredient derived from coconut), Water, Sodium Isethionate (natural food grade emulsifier derived from the sodium salt of lactic acid and steric acid used for skin moisturization), Soyethyl Morpholinium Ethosulfate (soy derived odor eliminator), Ceteareth-20 (emulsifying wax made from ether of higher saturated fatty alcohols), Sodium Methyl 2 Sulfolaurate & Disodium 2-sulfolaurate (biodegradable foaming agent derived from plants), Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Avena Sativa (Oat Kernel) Flour, Sucrose Cocoate, Sodium Isostearoyl Lactylate
DIRECTIONS: Rub directly onto hair to create a later. Massage into your hair and scalp. Leave in contact with skin for at least 30 seconds. Rinse well. Store bar on a soap tray or rack so that it dries between uses.
WARNING: Avoid contact with eyes. If contact occurs, rise eyes thoroughly with water. If swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control Center right away.

Wow. This shampoo bar was way better than expected.I got this because after my pregnancy, whether due to hormone changes, stress, or both, the seborrheic dermatitis on my scalp was getting out of hand. I've always had this condition but prior to my pregnancy, I would only flare up during times of extreme stress. But after pregnancy, it was constant to the point that some parts of my scalp felt raw and I was losing hair.Being an avid shampoo bar user, I can compare to all the other brands I have used (Viori, Arencia, Ethique, etc). This one was very nice. The size is great . It's bigger than all the brands I named and should last a long very time. It produces thick, creamy, sensory appealing lather. It has a great minty scent and tingly menthol sensation. It's not overly harsh on hair although a conditioner afterward is highly recommended, especially f you have need to use frequently/daily. It did strip the toner/color from my highlights. But, after only three shampoos, the condition of my scalp is already improved and the raw areas seem to be healing and not as sensitive. It's still too early to say if this will cure me or if my hair will come back to it's original fullness, but this is a medicated shampoo that I can see myself using and sticking with, because this may be something I will need to use on an on going basis to manage my condition.I rub this bar on my body too while I shower. Breastfeeding can cause fungus from baby's mouth to transfer to mother's skin, which happened to me. I have prescription medication from my doctor for it but this bar immediately soothes itching fits associated this problem.I'm very happy to have found this product. If you suspect you may be suffering any of the scalp conditions listed in the description, definitely give this a try. It's an inexpensive and easy way to see if this will work for you.

I'm in love with this shampoo. I have always struggles with dandruff and I would find myself swapping shampoos, using different oils to help rid it. This shampoo bar has been the holy grail I was looking for. Has amazing lather, rinses out nicely, no stripping or roughness. Leaves my hair feeling soft when it dries and no Frizz. I haven't seen any dandruff flakes since I've been using it. No dandruff patches anywhere either. Doesn't smell much of anything and it's eco friendly. If you suffer from dandruff I definitely recommend this shampoo bar!

I get painful bumps on my scalp sometimes and this has helped me. It soothes my scalp and does not break easily like other shampoo bars I’ve tried. I like it and will continue to use it. I used to use a sulphur shampoo bar but hated the smell. This shampoo bar smells fine and works just as well for my scalp’s condition.

I’ve got pretty mild dandruff and occasionally itchy scalp such that I typically use H&S (or the like). Was curious to try DermaHarmony’s Zinc Bar since it’s got the same active ingredient- in a solid.Comes in a simple cardboard box typical of bar soap. The scent is a little… odd, perhaps best described as “medicinal mint”. It’s similar to Cremo’s Peppermint Shave Cream. So similar that I looked at the lists of ingredients and 4 of the first 7 are identical. If you have (or can find) that you’ll have a good idea what this smells like.It builds a decent, bubbly lather and goes into your hair far easier than regular bar soap. I like that it rinses quickly and cleanly, leaving my hair and scalp residue free and feeling… natural. I didn’t use conditioner (I have a buzz cut, YMMV).For the next 24-36 hours my scalp felt completely comfortable, and didn’t see any flakes when I gave it a shakedown.Also, Made in the USA (of US and imported ingredients), no artificial colors/scents, and not tested on animals. It’s a nice product, I plan to try some of their other stuff.

The absolute best product I have used for dandruff. (Fine blonde) Hair is silky soft with no conditioner needed at roots. As effective as Head and Shoulders, but way more gentle and vegetable-based, plus plastic-free packaging!Bar lasts a long time, gets super sudsy, and can comb through (fine) hair easily without conditioner after shower.Before the dermaHarmony zinc bar, I tried a new shampoo everytime I ran out. I doubt I'll ever switch now.Their business model (according to their website) is also punk rock--livable wages!! I hope it is an accurate representation and not just PR. They do use vague phrasing about where they source ingredients, "domestic when possible". I do get that supply chain can be very tricky and manufacturers need to make tough calls sometimes.

I love the idea of a bar shampoo especially one for dandruff. I just find it not to clean as thoroughly as bottled shampoo. The lather is great and its good at stopping that famous scalp itch.My hair is also super fine. I find when I use this bar, my hair looks super greasy after the end of the 2nd day. If I solely relied on this, I could see myself washing my hair everyday compared to a bottled brand where there's more leeway with skipping a hair wash. The smell is gentle but it still has that dandruff shampoo smell.

My favorite shampoo got discontinued and I was struggling to find a replacement until I stumbled upon this. It is a great shampoo and leaves my hair clean, my scalp not itchy. It lathers very nicely and rinses clean quick. For $11 you can’t go wrong

I had never before tried bar shampoo, but this product is really great. It lathers up really well, and has a thick, luxurious feel to it. I've used it several times, and it hardly looks like I've used it at all. It also has a very nice not too strong scent.
