5.0 out of 5 stars Looks Great, Easy to Install
We have an all season room on our home and when we sit on our patio these look great attached to aluminum facia surrounding the room outside. They went right up and they stay up. You can change colors to suit the occasion.
5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent lights and customer support
These lights are awesome! It takes a bit to install but once completed it's exactly what I was looking for. One thing I wasn't aware of at install, if you have groups of these lights you need to have the sensor pointing to a common spot so you can control all of these at the same time with the app so that all light strings are in sync. There was a problem with one of the light strings after they were on for a couple of weeks, I contacted customer support and they shipped out a replacement.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great lights (Outdoor)
The lights are an easy install. I installed on the underside of deck railings and they look fantastic at night, the downward facing install lights the railing stiles and enhances the appearance. Two concerns: the adhesive is not as strong as other strips lights I have used in the past. I had to use zip ties near the ends of the lights to keep them attached. Second, the power supply and connectors are not water resistance as stated in the description. I bought a can of silicone polymer spray to cover the connections and power supply and so far so good with 3-4 rainy days.
4.0 out of 5 stars bright!
I removed a star because one of the two strings partially worked. The good news they quickly sent a replacement and all is good. Well packaged and easy to use. The sticky backing is strong but we also used the tab holders.
5.0 out of 5 stars Easy to install, very bright
The media could not be loaded. Love these light. Adhesive sticks very well, works really good outside, easy to install.
5.0 out of 5 stars Good set and company for these kits. Satisfied.
The Day Better kit worked for me though I will add a few tips I learned that helpEd me that may help future buyers .1) if you don’t need IP65 waterproof where you are installing them, consider Getting regular strips... the Silicon has tended to make my very simple indoor van installation quite a royal pain with the available connectors out there.. I used the waterproof not because it was outdoors but it was running near roof cavity’s that do potentially sweat In outdoor temp changes etc or fingers grab looking for things and dust accumulation Etc to cause problems which the silicone protects against but in my case if I had it to do over I would try the the sturdiest non waterproof set available as the connector kits out there are much more plug and play and unless you’re installing a lot of these and don’t mind buying large kits of spare parts to have around for troubleshooting options and creative installs it gets expensive trying to make a basic install work and get good connections with these waterproof strips if you are turning corners or needing wire runs to different sections of light strip.2) if you estimate you need the 16ft kits get the 32 ft at least... trust me in experienced in electrical and finicky installs and some of the connections go smooth and work like candy but suddenly when you start cutting and recurring strips because your piercing style connectors are junk , you need more strip to go through until you get experienced.3) if you want bright light go with the more lights per inch strips.. I wanted to save overall amp draw and only needed mood/ambience so I got the less lights per inch.. but it has dimmer settings... so unless you know you only want mood brightness get the denser lit strip and turn it up and down you will have more bright light capabilities.3) take care to cut the ends perfect. The ends being even make all the difference inside the connections4) if using the strip to 4 wire harness piercing style connectors, use an electrical tester at each leg/each side of every connection you make. Leave the strip end coming from the controller connection on and connect to the strip then test the lead end side of the connectors to make sure you have voltage. Then connect section of wire and test the wire end before connecting to another section of light strip test the far side of the connector where the next strip is going.. with the lights on then you will often get a connection just by touching the strip end to the connector.5 ) on connectors. You will go through so many connectors getting good fits on the piercing variety for waterproof strips get plenty.Tips others have posted about , helps to use a spare connector to pierce your wires and sometimes your strip first so you don’t damage or wear out a connector that you intend to be permanently in the circuit... I even cut a little bit of light strip with wire on it to use as the tester and pre piercing connector when connecting a set of wires to a strip end. Pulling on the wire a bit helps to make a good connection at times. Be very meticulous cutting the ends of the connectors. Finally for strip to strip or strip to wire connectors consider getting the kind made to slip under the prongs that’s are more designed for the non waterproof kind but some say waterproof because they will house the raised curve of the silicone when closed but the connection method is the same as non waterproof strips and is non piercing.. you simply have to work the end where you’ve cut the strip like you’re peeling the adhesive but instead you gently get the silicone to lift off the backing tape that is the circuit and expose the contacts and slip that under the connector tongs and let the silicone come back down and close the connector.. possibly wire solder the other end if you want a strip to wire connection... although for a novice soldering it wouldn’t be easy.. Basically don’t get waterproof ones unless you have a lot of extra strip to work with and ruin or unless you really need the waterproof kind... Maybe consider inventing a better strip to wire connector for these waterproof strips because they are all junk! Hope this helps.
3.0 out of 5 stars I’ve had to replace my lights 3x in 3yrs
Ok, so I’m 50/50 on these things. The color quality is perfect, and this brand is always super cheap. My problem with them is they’ve overheated too easily, last time leaving burn marks on the wall in a few places. Tried to find the pictures (August last year and it’s the end of July now). All it would have taken was a few a LITTLE more time and it would have caused a possibly lethal fire.Context, and why I still bought another strand to tie me over till I find a better alternative - we leave our lights on almost all the time. They’re LEDs so they’re good on energy, and the color palette is so much better than boring yellow standard lights. The whole LED lighting addiction my wife and I have gained over the years all started because waking up in the morning to multi colored Christmas lights, nice and dim, is a much nicer way to ease into the day. Now 100% of our house is all done up in dope lighting. We recently got some Govee TV backlights that are $30, so I know I’m getting the quality I’m paying for, after buying a $10 failure of a strand. Bought a second strand for another TV of ours, so I checked out their light strips before ultimately going with this set again, and here’s why…All these brands seem to have the same fire hazard problem (esp when you’re like me and you run the lights into the ground with 24/7 use). So… if it’s between $20 and $80 and they’re both gonna hit the fan after a year or two, might as well pay less.Ultimately I’ve had my best results with Superlightingled, but shipping is insane and the power supplies are like 3”x8” so they’re not small. That company is best for bigger orders, but in this case it may be the level I need to meet my waterproof, 24/7 lit needs.Pros: cheap, good cx service w/ replacements, nice colors, lights close together, physical remote (I think WiFi app too? Don’t use it but think it’s a thing)Cons: fire hazard, cheaply constructed (the power supply has gotten smaller and smaller every time I’ve bought a new set over the years - driving down the price at the expense of safety - not sustainable but I’ll use em again this time.
Continuen con ese buen servicio, precios y profesionales.
Felicidades es justo lo que anuncio.
