I bought this to replace a very disappointing manual pump that I bought from harbor freight. I've only used this pump once, but it was very effective in transferring diesel fuel from a 55 gallon drum with minimal effort. I can't comment on durability, but I'm very happy with it after one use.

This pump saved my bacon during a 5 day power outage. I was able to transfer 5 gallons of gas from a gas can into my generator in less than a minute. No leaks, easy to use, no reliance on batteries. I highly recommend this.

Using it to pump methanol out of a drum for a race car, works pretty well but as the drum gets on the lower side can’t always keep the flow going.

As a home brewer, I bought this to transfer beer from one carboy to another and to gravity fill kegs but it has to be pumped to continue to work. I thought once primed it would flow but that is not the case and that is my misunderstanding. IT is ok on the durability scale and will work for a long time but you can feel it bend and shift as you pump it. SO be careful.
