5.0 out of 5 stars Really nice general-purpose tripod, well-engineered, excellent value.
I'm impressed with the quality and utility of this tripod considering its under-$50 price. Clearly someone put a lot of thought into its design. It's light and reasonably sturdy. Construction is almost entirely plastic and aluminum. (All the tubular parts, such as leg sections, monopod sections, and center post, are aluminum.)As advertised, it can be set up to be quite tall. I'm over 6'-2", and it easily sets up at a comfortable height for me, whether in tripod or monopod mode. Speaking of which, it's got a fast-to-deploy monopod, which should be handy for outdoor photography. It seems to me this tripod should really shine for indoor use, although the center hook allows weight to be added to make it more stable outdoors. It can also be made more stable by not fully extending the legs. (I'm actually planning to use this tripod mostly outdoors, so it'll be interesting to see how it performs and holds up under those conditions.)Also as advertised, the pan and tilt functions provide a degree of "image stabilization" when moving the camera. With a little practice and careful adjustment of knob tension, I'm able to pan and tilt my video camera quite smoothly. The included bluetooth remote paired quickly with my smartphone and works great. That brings me to my one complaint about this tripod, and it's minor: the instruction pamphlet that accompanies the remote has comically tiny print. Unless your vision is incredible, you'll need magnification to read the 1.5-mm high font they used. Some reviewers have commented that the storage bag is a bit small. Maybe the manufacturer has addressed this in the meantime, but I found the bag to fit perfectly when everything is properly collapsed, with room to spare for instructions and accessories. I wouldn't want it to be any larger because then the contents would slide around. So, is this tripod suitable for professional-grade use with heavy telephoto lenses, or in very windy conditions? Probably not. But for general-purpose use, tight budgets, or where light weight is desirable, it's a hands-down winner. I'm glad I bought it.
5.0 out of 5 stars First impression – solid and well designed!
This review is for the VICTIV T72 (ASIN - B07QGW88GC) model tripod. I noticed there are images and reviews for other products mixed in with reviews and images for this one.TL;DR – you would not be disappointed if you purchased this tripod! It has so much versatility and a very solid feel to it!Pros:The additional mounting plate that you can put on a second camera to easily swap them out.The D-ring screw on the mounting plate so you don’t need a coin (or strong fingernails) to tighten/untighten the screw! The sturdiness of the tripod’s legs – I have much more confidence in this tripod than in my other one!The built-in handle for the option to carry the tripod w/o the case/bag.The soft grip on one of the legs which gives another method of carrying the tripod comfortably. The leg locks – solid locks and the 4 sections give a great versatility of height adjustmentThe center post lock – once you open up the legs, you can then twist the sleeve on the center post which locks the legs in place, keeping them from accidentally folding back up on youThe built-in monopod – not only does it give you several more inches of height, you get a compact monopod that easily slips out with a twist of the lock knob, and then easily extends by twisting the foot counterclockwise, extending it to the length you want, and then twisting the foot clockwise to lock it in place. And the camera mount is still right on top!The camera mount – I haven’t put the camera on the mount yet, but turning the different knobs to make different adjustments feel very solid and tightening them gives a solid feel of locking in place. The hook at the bottom of the center post – you won’t have to set your camera bag on the ground, and it gives greater stability to the tripod. The leveling bubble on the baseCons:The only caveat I have with this product is with the case/bag and not the tripod itself. I think the bag needs to be about a half-inch to an inch longer to accommodate the tripod more easily. So far, I’ve had to really work at getting it back into the bag and positioned the right way before the zipper will close over it.Overall impressionI really think I’m going to get many satisfying years of service from this tripod! And having a monopod built right in is a major plus! Oftentimes, I’ve had my camera mounted on my tripod but a monopod would have been a better tool; but I didn’t want to go through the hassle of removing the camera from the tripod, then removing the mounting plate from the camera, then screwing my monopod onto the camera just to take a few shots. With this tripod, the camera is mounted once and can then be used with both the tripod and monopod w/o any hassles!
5.0 out of 5 stars Nice, Lightweight but Stable tri-pod
I bought this for mounting a spotting scope to, although I will use it occasionally for camera work. I wanted a lightweight unit for ease of packing into remote places. Heavier tripods will me more steady than this one, but I can't afford the weight for my use. This tripod does have a hook at the bottom of the center post for adding weight, however, so one's backpack might make a suitable ballast for making this steadier. It works well for a spotting scope and a still camera - especially if you have a shutter remote. Not quite steady enough for a video camera that one may be panning with. It's height is incredible. I am 6 feet tall, so 72", plus the height of whatever I have mounted to it, is certainly more than I'll ever need on level ground. However, I am often on uneven terrain, so adjusting the length of the legs individually to compensate for the slope is well within the capability of this tripod. The price is very reasonable. I looked at other tripods marketed especially for spotting scopes and most started at twice the price of this one. I am very happy with it.

Even better than advertized!
Exactly as advertised, except the color looks more like copper than orange. It seems very sturdy, considering how light it is. And with 4 segments per leg, it folds easily into the provided bag. Love it!
Quality tripod
THe Victiv 72-inch Compact Tripod for Camera, Durable Aluminum Stand for YouTube Videos, is well constructed and quite steady for optical equipment. The aluminium construction is surprisingly strong and does not move when the weather is windy. I am very satisfied with this purchase.
Quality Tripod
The tripod was a Xmas gift for my son. It's sturdy, light weight and easy to use! Can't wait to see some of his photos!
