I had no idea what confectioner’s glaze was until I googled it. “Shellac” made from bug secretions. No thank you. These chocolate-covered almonds don’t have that shiny coating, they’re organic and delicious. Almonds are good for you! I love these! “ Shellac, sometimes called confectioner's glaze or resinous glaze, comes from the forests of Southeast Asia, where tiny-scale insects—principally Kerria lacca—suck the sap from host trees and secrete an amber-colored, resinous pigment known as lac, which females use to cling to branches. Harvesters crush these coated branches, then wash and sieve the material to purify it. Inevitably, it is replete with dismembered insect corpses.”

OMG ... I can't stop eating these! I am dairy-free and gluten-free and cannot eat regular sugar. These are absolutely delicious. I hope they are always available!

So delicious. I wish they had less sugar. I really think I would enjoy them just as much with no sweetener. Quite addictive. Even non vegan children loved them.

I love these chocolate covered almonds. They are a bit pricey but am able to stock up when whole foods has them on sale. Will definitely keep buying.
