I love these jars. I put spices in them garlic, onion, pepper, teas, all kinds of things.They do seal very nicely. The glass is a non-toxic glass.The thing, however, I must say about the closure, is that it isn't as heavy duty as they were in the old days. What I mean is, is that the old jars from way back when were very heavy duty-- the metal parts that clamp it on there. Now the metal that does the clamping is adequate and seems to do a good job, but don't expect that super thick, heavy steel that your grandmother used to use.Lastly, the jars are true to size they fit what they say they'll fit. They do come with white marker and labels. I have purchased them three times. All of the jars are functioning well and sealing well at this time. My first purchase was a couple of years ago. Like, if I helped you find tour next best glass jars.

These seemed like good strong jars but I just shook one yesterday with brown sugar in it to break up the sugar and it broke a whole in the side of the jar

It's nice to have several of these. I use two for my sourdough starter. I can feed the sourdough by pouring from one jar to another (on a scale) rather than trying to remove the right amount, using just one jar. These work fine, but they are not premium quality. The sealing rings seem to be silicon rather than rubber, which eventually cracks. The mechanical parts are a bit thin and chintzy. Survives the dishwasher.

They get the job done and look great whiling doing it. They hold more than enough for you pantry staples that you use everyday and bulk buy. If I need more jars this is the one I'll be picking up next Bolo visit.

I need more. I am so pleased with how quick these arrived, the packaging which I will use to store on my metal shelf’s and the overall quality. The ease of the packaging and lid clamp is super easy and I wish I could can but I got these to make fire cider and just love them. Perfect size & had extra seals which I’m impressed with for future use.
