I purchased medium brown 5C to get rid of the orange in my diy highlights. I have dark brown Asian straight hair. I would say this medium brown is on the darker side. I did 45 minutes applied on stubborn roots only, added more onto shaft for 20 minutes, and combed through to ends for 5 minutes. Came out perfect. I should have done less time on shaft because it is a little darker than expected, but still looks good. I had been using permanent color for a long time but hate the root demarcation so after reading an article on Demi-permanent allowing the color to fade instead of the harsh line, I’m trying this for awhile to see how I like it.

the reviews for this are spot on. The product does not wash away overnight. My hair is glossy and not dull, the color has maintained already for a month. 3 weeks longer than others so far.

I have been using the 6c light brown color for several years now and I loved the shade. I always came out with a rich medium brown color that didn’t leave bronze/orange tones.Here’s the problem.. I just reordered the same color in the three pack that I order all the time and dyed my hair yesterday. It turned out almost black… like the darkest brown I’ve ever had in my hair. So I’m thinking the quality team missed this mistake, this is being sold as a knock off product, or there was a change in the formula. Either way, the same product I order every few months has completely changed with this order.

I’ve been having a lot of breakage with my hair and I recently read that Demi permanent hair color is less damaging. I use this every six weeks to cover grays and it blends with my regular hair color really well and grows out without a harsh line. I think my hair is getting healthier too. This definitely helps extend my trips to the salon!

This color made my scalp itch more than any other brand, even permanent color with all the chemicals. I was expecting the color to turn out much darker than it did, but my roots, which are a level 5, are still darker than the rest of my hair. I was hoping for a more neutral brown but this color made my hair pretty orange-ish. I will say that it smelled nice and it was gentle on my hair.I would give this brand another try, maybe with one of their cool or "brass free" colors.

herbatint was drying out my hair and going brassyi have severe Multiple Chemical Sensitivity and can use thisi like that it slowly washed out, no roots, way less brassy, i do wish it lasted a little longer though
