These Addi knitting machines are wonderful. Understand, you don’t necessarily pull it from the box and start producing products willy nilly though. Read the instructions CAREFULLY! Watch videos on YouTube. Don’t rush yourself. The machines are very sturdy and well made but if you’re not careful, you’re going to break needles.I’m frustrated by video reviews by people claiming they received defective machines. The defect is the user not reading the instructions and not checking if the switch is set on panel or tube! The black needles will be harder to turn, because that’s how the row counter works. After you knit 3-4 rows, the process is definitely smoother, but the tension felt as the black needles come up is normal and a cue you just knit a whole row in about 45 seconds!These are great machines and worth the money. But please, before knocking the quality and value of the machine, be sure to know what your talking about.These reviews help customers and sellers equally. Please bear that in mind when reading or writing a review on a very unique knitting machine.

I love, love, love these machines. I wish I would have bought the Addi in the first place. Yes, it is more expensive than the Sentro, but you get what you pay for in this case. The quality of the Addi is immediately apparent when you unpack it. It handles different types of yarn with ease. I have used both machines extensively since I got it, and I am thrilled with the quality of the stitches and the products I’ve made. I highly recommend both Addi machines (this set also included 2 Addi stoppers, clamps -these work incredibly well!). Both machines come with counters (which the 22 needle Sentro did not). I am incredibly happy with the Addi machines, and I highly recommend them. Please note-no products were received for this review. My reviews are based on my experiences, and I have not received anything for it (which I would disclose IF it occurred).

I had a bad experience with my last buy on one of the off name brand model. This buy is out of the box for beginners and makes learning fun and enjoyable. Both Addi machines allow you to use almost any yarn with it. It comes with patterns and teaches you how to use it. The feel is smooth when turning the knob no matter what type of yarn. I love that it comes with clamps to secure it to a table. If you thinking of purchasing the cheaper one don't! You will come back to buy this one stressed out because you had to hold the yarn and the machine while fighting with the knob to turn because the machine doesn't like the type of yarn you have. Oh and did I mention it arrived 2 days before it was supposed to! It's the little things!

Very expensive considering it’s all plastic. The tension control is not sufficient. The positives are easy to use and faster than the cheap alternatives. However I think the lack of tension causes skipped stitches.

I ordered "I want it all" Addi package, The smaller Express and the larger King along with 3 books. Ordered on Monday and here on Thursday. Fedx delivered it today ! Within ONE HOUR I had set the Express up and was cranking out a scarf. My goodness it is great ! The stitches are neat, compact , the tension is perfect all thru the scarf. I am so pleased !!!! This is an early Christmas present and I am going to be making all kinds of things for others. One note also , I have been watching Youtube tutorials since Monday evening and this helped so much with my learning curve !!!! I hand knit and it takes a long time to finish the same scarf that I did this afternoon on the Express. AND the quality of the knitting was so good, even stitches / tension and so professional looking !!!! The three books are also invaluable for tips / tricks and patterns. Also there are Facebook groups that are available and have already joined !!!!! Also want to add that I am particular and critical and careful with all my knitting , sewing etc. ( I seldom write reviews but I am so pleased and excited !! ).

This is my first knitting machine and I absolutely love it. Took a few times using it to get it right. There are so many videos on YouTube …check them out before using the first time. I have already made several hats and one scarf since 11/26/2023 and today is 11/30/2023. Best craft item I have ever bought!

Received mine today. Within 1 hour it was set up and I had made a small scarf (6"). VERY easy to learn and use. My autistic daughter even worked on the pro and loves it. Highly recommend. The counters are Mechanical not electronic like newer videos show. Works great and no batteries needed. Very good investment to make and sell crafts or to teach someone and get them interested in yarn crafts without the stress.The stitches are even and uniform and neat. Dont speed or you may drop stitches with Softer yarns. Just turn at a steady brisk pace. Very well made. Quiet. The handle spins easily with very little effort. Sturdy design and construction. The books and photos are excellent! All they need now is a special table we could buy with a space in middle!

I enjoy using these machines. The knit tension is a bit loose for my liking on larger machine, but still experimenting with yarns and tension. I am a long time hand knitter.So far seems to work best with #3 & #4 yarns.Tried a chunkier yarn and broke a needle - luckily it came with extra and was easy to replace after watching YouTube video.Have only used for about a month and have knit 6 hats, infinity scarf, neck warmer and about 7 stuffed toys. It’s fun!Knitting a panel seems a bit tricky-I will need some practice.There are tons of helpful videos/patterns on YouTube & Pinterest.
