Seeing as I had never used an air compressor before, I was a bit apprehensive when it came time to buy my own. Fortunately Craftsman is a trusted name, and going with this little guy was the right decision: it works flawlessly for all my needs and is extremely user friendly too!Whether it's filling up tires, checking for boost leaks in my truck, or just need some concentrated air to help with cleaning, this does it all without breaking a sweat. It has two attachment ports, as well as two easy to read gauges (one for cans total pressure, one for how much you want to come through hose) with a single knob on the front that controls how much air you are using. There is a safety release pin on the side, and on the bottom there is a moisture release valve that you should open up every time you are done using compressor. Make sure you have ran it down to zero prior to doing so, otherwise you might cause your pets to flee in terror from the loud hissing noise.As far as less likeable features go, they are pretty minimal! As other people have stated, this puppy is pretty loud. Nothing that will damage your ears or anything, but if your significant other or a baby is sleeping, you might want to hold off on turning it on. The safety release valve is kind of uncomfortable to pull, it's like the rings on your key chain but with a portion of it bent outward so it's kinda jagged to handle, but again, not a big deal.I imagine this is about as user friendly as it gets, so if this is your first time buying a compressor, this is an excellent choice! As tempting as it may be to buy a used one for cheaper, that is a bad idea! These cans are only made to last for so long, so be smart and stay safe!I highly recommend the red rubber ball, and I think you'll like it too!

This is a small but very functional compressor, which is reasonably quiet and refills quickly. I used it to replace a 30 gallon, 3 HP compressor, which I gave to my son. No, it won’t do all the things my old much larger one would do, but is very portable and easy to store. If you need a reasonably priced, but still capable compressor, and don’t need it to blow your sprinkler lines, or power a wood shop with multiple workers; this may be the compressor for you.

As I mentioned in previous reviews, I recently downsized and ended having an online auction company come into my house and wiped me out of so many tools that I wasn't ready to part with. Unfortunately, on the day they came to categorize my stuff, I was sick in bed with a high fever and was unable to oversee what they ended up auctioning off. Two of the items that were auctioned off were both of my air compressors. I find air compressors great to have around as you never know when you're going to walk out to your vehicle only to see a flat tire. So I decided to invest in a new air compressor but one with all the necessary hoses and accessories. It gives me great peace of mind that I will end up stranded in my garage with a flat tire. I'm very happy with the model I chose especially since it comes with all the necessary accessories. I do wish it had wheels but I couldn't find a model with wheels and all the necessary accessories. To be honest, I kinda get confused with air compressors that don't include all the accessories. I'm not a mechanic so I didn't need a compressor that I would use on a daily basis. This Craftsman model basically has everything I need and it's not too heavy to carry although I don't plan on carrying it anywhere. So I'm giving it a positive review for folks who would like to have an air compressor but kinda get confused by the necessary accessories.Follow up. Today I finally "tested" the air compressor. It worked fine but I was unable to insert the hose and fittings unless the tank was empty. Even when I assembled everything, I found the part that you use to connect to a tire valve was not air tight despite having what I refer to as plumber's tape on the threads. Note that where the hose connects to the air compressor was air tight. So I think I need to use a couple of pliers or wrenches to better tighten the accessories. I did try needle nose pliers but they only helped a little bit. I should mention that it still would fill a flat tire in it's present condition. I also could easily reduce the pressure produced by the air compressor as I believe that would reduce the "leak" at the accessories into the hose. I still recommend this unit as I believe I'll be able to make the accessories more air tight. I should also mention that I have significant arthritis in my hands so perhaps someone without arthritis would not run into the problems I did. One nice accessory is an "air gun" which is strong enough to air clean the floor of the garage by spraying the garage floor to the outside with the garage door open. Just make sure any "lightweight" items are on shelves.

Works perfectly to provide air pressure to tires. Quite compact for the uses intended. Easily used. Has a regulator gauge and pressure gauge so auto shut off functions. Noise level is acceptable.

The first one arrived in a state that leaked air and absolutely would not pressurize: I presume that the relief valve was stuck open. I returned it for a replacement and recieved a new one that is completely functional. I'm using it to inflate a car tire that leaks about 1/2 a psi per day. One day soon I'll get that fixed, but this has allowed me to delay the inevitable for more weeks than I care to say. This is why I bought it, so I very much appreciate that it came with all the things I need to accomplish this task including - if I am not mistaken - a tire pressure gauge. Very nice.I have left it plugged in and pressurized for about three months and have only ever heard it run ten or fifteen seconds after I begin pumping up the tire, so it seems pretty airtight. And it doesn't run for very long, suggesting that the compressor is well sized for the service. Very Happy.

Great price a must-have for all air tool users. very solid very well built.
Let me start by saying I've owned quite a few air compressors this one is the best one I've had in the pictures it looks small but it is not . it's packed with power there's nothing you can't do with this compressor. Comes with 2 air hose connector best part it's light. and easy to move around. I have tried every single one of my air tools and they run perfectly. When I received my package I was missing a part which Bolo ship me the next day that's service. They shipped me Primefit Pri-6044 IK1016S-20 Deluxe Air Compressor Accessory Kit Including Recoil Airhose. Which works get with it.This is a must-have air compressor for anyone who's got air tools.I highly recommend it at that great price.

Identical to the Porter Cable and at least one other brand.
I purchased this unit to replace my Porter Cable compressor when the pressure switch failed. With less than 2 years to go before the compressor's certified time expired, it was not with spending big bucks on a switch. Bolo .ca had a good price with fast one-day delivery. I didn't need the accessories, but they were included anyway. Other than the brand name, it is basically the same as my Porter Cable, so I am hoping it will function as well and last as long. This particular size of "pancake" compressor is handy, easy to tote around and provides enough airflow for low demand home use.
